Works great with an easy install process. I actually have 2 units now (1x front, 1x back of the house). Only knock I got, & its very minor, is the original mount it comes with is a "hard plastic." After about 3-4 rs I had to replace the one in the front of the house due to some warping. The replacement mount sold is metal, which I assume can hold up a bit better in extreme weather.

Awesome retractable yard hose. Arrived quickly and I got a great price because I waited for a deal. Installation took a little bit of planning.

If you’re considering this purchase, it’s probably worth it because of it is that convenient.The only downside is the durability of the attachment itself that goes onto the hose. It’s significantly less quality than the reel itself. Our attachment broke within a couple of days.

I really like this hose real. I have been researching different hose reels for a long time and to get a good one I was going to have to pay a lot like $500 plus which are very heavy and need to be mounted to something very strong. This hose reel is easy to install on any wall or pile and I like how it very easily stops where u want after extending it, it’s lightweight but nothing imunmanageable. I hope it holds up for along time because I try my best to take good care of my things and only buy things that will last me along time. I doubt the plastic sprayer holds up for too long it seems very cheaply made so I replaced it anyways with a brass one that I’ve had forever. If this hose reel lasts me along time without problems I plan on buying the pressure washer I love how it mounts on the wall and all the hoses are neatly organized. It would be so nice to be able to just pull out the pressure washer hose and have everything ready to go whenever I wanted to quickly pressure wash sonething

I purchased three of these retractable hoses in March 2022. They were somewhat difficult to install- a two person job - especially if installing into concrete wall or brick. I used each one maybe once a week around my gardens. The first hose broke in August 2022. A second broke by exploding in my face in September. The third hose (the one that was used the least due to location in gardens needing less water) still works, but I don’t have faith it will last. I contacted Giraffe tools to honor their 2 year replacement warranty. I had to “chat” back & forth for a hour because their rep claimed they had no record with of my purchase. I sent copies of invoice, screenshots, etc. I was told they’d send replacements. Later that day, someone contacted me via email and I went back & forth with them on the same issue I thought I resolved earlier in the day. They claimed no proof of purchase from Amazon even though I had receipts & obviously bought them from Amazon or I wouldn’t be leaving an Amazon review. They said “contact Amazon.” So, today I spent about 45 minutes chatting with Amazon, forwarding the chat transcripts & multiple emails to Amazon customer service who agreed that Giraffe tools should’ve honored their warranty. But, since they didn’t, Amazon will offer refund less restocking fee. That was the only solution. Now, subtracting for a restock fee seems odd because these are broken; they cannot be restocked! However, since it’s the only way to recoup some of the loss, then that’s what I must take. My advice is to not order this retractable hose or any products from Giraffe tools because apparently they are of subpar quality and the company will not honor their stated warranty. Save yourself time and trouble and find a retractable hose elsewhere. And, make sure you pay via a credit card that has a product warranty benefit, just in case.

We've had considerable work done recently to the south side of the house. Had to remove a 60 foot pine tree because the roots were destroying the retaining wall and fence. That's all done now, and my wife has decided to renovate the south side as a pollinator garden. She needed a way to water these plants, and this seemed to be a good fit. It's far better than a regular hose hanger because the summer sun just dries out a regular hose. It was installed yesterday, and I spent some time teaching her how to use it and take care of it. She absolutely loves it.! It installs easily, (if you are somewhat handy with tools), it seems very sturdy and there are no leaks in the unit. I bought the cover for the unit as well, as the south side of the house get pounded by the SOCAL sun. Overall, very happy with the unit so far!EDIT: We started having problems with the hose not retracting all the way, it seemed to be overlapping the hose on the reel, jamming the hose against the top of the case. We contacted Giraffe Tools, and the end result is a new hose reel being shipped to us. Extremely outstanding customer service!

Disappointed after 1 season of use. Bought this for my husband for Christmas 2023. Got it all set up and used it Spring/Summer 2024. Ready for this season's new plants coming in and it's leaking all over. I'm hoping the Customer Service is as good as I've read! Worked well, but not worth the $$ for 1 season's use.

Haven't used yet, but like the appearance, features, etc. I'm sure it will be easy to use and much better than a manual rollup hose.
