SO RELIABLE. If you need to transfer from another part of a vessel or tank, it is so utterly easy to start again and you just sit it below and let it transfer. You do not need to keep pumping it once you get it going.I looked at some of the 1 star reviews. I was dumbfounded how this could be, with this excellent product.Well, before you use this device, you need to see if you should use it in a gas tank on a newer model car. Not a good idea. Also, if you don't put the vessel receiving the fluid BELOW the source, you are not letting gravity do its work. This works incredibly well for what it is made for. But you have to be willing to do a little research into what NOT to use it for, and also how to use it properly.

Good old fashioned quality build. Instructions include many references about how to preserve the item's longevity - not the modern attitude to helping you to ruin it and then buy another. Would recommend without hesitation.The Hose Manclip is excellent and a very handy device to help hold hoses in place. I am using it on a varity of 20 litre containers and it fits all of them which is very helpful.In addition I can say that your siphon pump is the bees knees and is perfect for the job I’m doing. We make around 500 litres of comfrey liquid fertiliser for our garden each year. It is very smelly stuff and getting it on my hands is a nightmare and demands some drastic cleaning if I’m to be allowed back in the house.To say that the pump works well is an understatement. Normally, using a plastic siphon and a jug I can take a day to decant 100 litres of the liquid into smaller containers from the vats where we brew the fertiliser. This last brew was decanted, bottled and stored in three hours, mostly because I could use 19mm hose which speeds up the process with a vengeance.At last a siphon pump that is built to last, is easy to use and looks like it might outlast me. Many thanks for the product, I’m really chuffed.

A simple but very efficient and effective design. One or two pumps and the liquid is flowing. Tricky at first not to spill as you need to pull out the hand pump part to allow the liquid to flow but you quickly learn to do it with only minimal spillage. Used it to siphon fuel from my portable generator and also from the gas tank of my sports car. The brass end helps keep the hose at the bottom of the tank. Comes shipped in a plastic bag with a one page set of instructions. High quality unit.
