Did not work unfortunately
My LG monitor came with this exact model of an adapter. I have two identical LG monitors. When one of my adapters broke due to it being stuck under the desk and the desk going up (standing desk) and pulling it, I searched to buy an original replacement. On the LG website these are $200, so when I saw the price here I was very happy. Unfortunately, it did not work. Appears almost identical to the original adapter, except for the label not being glossy and the power cord being a bit thinner at its connection to the adapter box. The needle in the cable going in the monitor appears to be too thin and makes no contact so the monitor won't light up at all. I tested my original working power adapter on both monitors and it powers them up fine. I tested this adapter on both monitors and neither worked with it. So I had to return it and pay $227 with shipping and taxes on the LG website. At least I will know it will work. Edit: just wanted to clarify that I tested this adapter with the original power cord and with the power cord it came with. And it did not work. The adapter I ordered from the LG website came and works fine on my monitor. Strangely, that adapter came without a power cord so I am using my original power cord.

Just what I needed and the price was right.
Working from home and needed a second monitor. Bought an LG 27UP850-W, which I like. Unfortunately, we had a thunderstorm, the power flickered a few times and the adapter fried. Looked online for a replacement and found this one with next day delivery. Though it didn't claim to be, the one I received was a branded LG item. Exact replacement except for the color (original was white). Fifty dollars less then I could buy it from LG. Next day I was back in business - very happy customer!
