Got a deal on this, way stoked about it. This knife knocks it out of the park, especially compared to a modern Buck 120 S35vn. They are not the same type of blade or metal, not even close. But similar price points exist for two wildly different quality knives on Amazon, and the buck 120 S35vn is simply the wrong choice, given the two. Black Bear Classic has a very nice finished look. Buck 120 S35vn looks and performs like a cheap toy/ movie prop. That said, S35vn is typically very good material... Blade is razor sharp out of the box, effortlessly shaved arm hair off across all parts of the blade. Weight is balanced toward the rear. Doesn't feel like you're wielding 8¼" of steel in front of you, quick to maneuver. Thick full tang. Sub hilt provides a very sure grip. Legal to open carry where I live, check local laws if you're worried. Don't be stupid with a giant knife. This one is real.

this is a solid knife. sharp as can be! weight feels sturdy in my hand… it reminds me of Crocodile Dundee in that scene where some punk pulls out a little knife, then Dundee pulls out a knife that looks like this and says, “U call THAT a knife?!? THIS is a knife!!!” lmaooo

Been wanting one of these for the last 10 years, glad I finally got one. It exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful, comfortable grip, and extremely sharp on both ends. My new favorite knife (excluding my chef's knives)

I’ve purchased several Cold Steel knives and this one needs to be sharpened. My other knives were a lot sharper out of the box. Aside from that, I REALLY like this knife! Not sure what I’m going to use it for yet. The blade is kind of thin, so I probably won’t be chopping anything with it. I’m happy with my purchase.

Cold steel’s interpretation of Loveless Big Bear Classic is excellent. Mine came razor sharp and is beautiful. I have been trying to find one for years. It is one of the best pure fighting knife designs ever made, and a true collectors item. I loved it so much I bought two. The workmanship is excellent. This knife is a real bargain and a family heirloom.

Absolutely flawless, zero complaints. I could get it a touch sharper but considering the blade dimensions it's not really designed to to be a slicer, and the edge will last longer because of that detail. I wish there was a leather sheath option, but the kydex one is excellent.
