This is my second toaster and the KitchenAid has last the longest. The features on the toaster are easy to read and the blue light helps to know how it is toasting. The heat levels are very powerful, I recommend you test with your bread, bagel, and waffle. The ease of cleaning with the bottom removal slot is very helpful to wash. The slot size fits a bagel with ease.

The toaster feels very solid and looks good on the counter. Its actual toasting ability is not as good. It’s always darker on one side, and you dare not use settings above a 1 or it will burn. And why does it beep when it’s done?? The ka-CHUNK noise of the toast popping up is perfectly sufficient. Not fond of bagels and haven’t tried it for that.

Well, this toaster wasn't great to begin with. The very lowest setting (#1) stilled nearly burned my toast at first. After about a year of use, the lowest setting cooled a bit and could be used. However, every setting was inconsistent and you really didn't know between a 1, 2 , or 3 what you were going to get. Possibly something hardly toasted, possibly something almost charred. This was very frustrating. Now, after exactly 18 months, the lever has stopped working so it doesn't hold down and doesn't turn the toaster on. For several weeks prior it had stopped holding down for long and began popping up prematurely, after only 10/20 seconds or so. Now it never stays down. I called Kitchenaid customer service and they said the only trouble shooting is to try another outlet, and clean out the crumb tray, which I had already done. They only offer a 1 year warranty, so there is nothing to be done but throw it away and buy a new toaster. It's absolutely nuts that I bought this as an upgrade to the trusty $30 toaster from Target which had lasted me 15 years. Boooooooo.

This toaster is very easy to use and has a great look. My last toaster was so cheesy looking and only lasted about a year. I like that it actually beeps before it pops up. It's a great alert and I find I no longer have to wait in the kitchen to be sure to get my toast when it is done. It is plenty wide and deep enough to fit even those giant bagels they are making now. Easy to clean and because the outside is a brushed nickel look, no fingerprint smears.

I really wanted to like this toaster. It looks nice on the counter and matches my stand mixer. Unfortunately, it’s been nothing but frustrating. Anything above setting 2 turns my bread into charcoal. I’m talking black inedible toast. Even at setting 2 I have to keep an eye on it like a hawk and pop it early or it’s too dark.

I felt like I didn't need a toaster with a digital screen lol, this toaster has all the features you need. Have used it for a bit now and the toast is always evenly toasted, the bagel function works well too. Crumb tray ejects with a push button which is nice and it stays put if you store the toaster away and bring it out sometimes. Easy enough to clean.

The product looks very good and sturdy. But come with a big 16 amps plug. I have returned this.
