Classic stories, many parents with girls will find the stories dated and sexist. My 6 year old daughter actually picked up on the sexism " papa why do the girls always stay at home while the boys do all the exciting things?" This opened up the opportunity for discussion with her about the time when the stories were written and the underlying sexism. It did not distract from her enjoyment of the stories. Some times I switched the name Jack for Janet when reading to counter the sexism.
