I had this book on a list, just waiting for it to go on sale, and I’m so happy I purchased it. I’ve used this book in speech therapy sessions for years now. Now I have my own copy. - Excellent for engaging kids who approach books reluctantly. Every kid loves to pop the bubbles! - Targets colors, numbers, rhymes, animals. I also use it to work on verbs early speech sounds (e.g., pop). - The text is adorable, but admittedly, I only read it as written about 1/10 of the time. The pictures and interactive nature of the book are the selling points. - The book is quite durable. Mine did arrive with one bubble that does not stay popped. This color book is my favorite of the Poke-a-Dot books. I would recommend it for preschool to early elementary. I hope mine lasts a long time but would repurchase in the future if needed.

Melissa and Doug’s poke a dot books are great for little ones. They are great quality books and keeps my little one entertained. The are board books which make them thick and durable.

We love these dot books! I’m so glad that these books now come in smaller sizes. The plastic bubbles entertain our baby and these a slim enough to take with you anywhere. The quality of the book itself is great and the binding appears sturdy. I know we will get hours of use and fun from these

My autistic 6 year old loves these pop books my 2 year old daughter obsessed as well and my one year old doesnt fully understand them but she'll pop it one way and her sister pops it back for her however I will say she thinks they taste wonderful as I have to keep taking them out of her mouth 😆 highly recommended

This book is very well loved in our house, only reason not giving 5 stars is one of the pop things broke within only a few weeks of play but none of the other ones have broken.

Great value for price. My toddler loves these books! They keep her entertained for a while. The colors are vibrant, and the pages are very thick and sturdy. Functional books, and there’s no pages sticking to sorry about.

Great books, can keep your child occupied. Provides learning and entertainment. Big pictures one per page are great for learning the new words. And the clicking dots are so fun! I thought 3 books would be too much, but it's perfect to keep one in the car, one in diaper bag

My toddler absolutely LOVES these. It’s like baby-safe bubble wrap built into a book. Great for practicing fine motor skills, counting, colours, and just giving that satisfying “pop” interaction that little ones adore. The pages are thick and feel sturdily made. A few things to be aware of: the books are heavier and bulkier than a typical board book so they’re not my go-to for the diaper bag or travel. Occasionally some of the "dots" won’t pop properly (when you press them they don't stay popped) but I find if you press really hard on them for a couple seconds, it sort of "resets" them and then they pop nicely again. The binding isn't the strongest so if the book gets handled roughly (which is pretty inevitable with little ones lol) you'll likely start to see some wear there. They aren't the cheapest toddler books however I think the interactive feature is worth it... but if your kid is a book demolisher the value can drop over time. Overall I highly recommend these if you want a fun, tactile book to grab a baby or toddler’s attention. Melissa & Doug is a reputable brand that really never disappoints!
