Works for my rosacea
I didn't use it for lice. I have rosacea. I put it under my foundation and it keeps the redness at bay. Much cheaper than prescription topical for rosacea.

Persistence and permethrin pay off
All of us (4 family members) were simply swarming with lice. I'd never had lice before - the discomfort is extraordinary. This product comes with two bottles and you need a full bottle per person. For some reason that info isn't on the box, but there you go. So we got two packs. After the first application the dead lice were dropping off us in a fine sprinkle all over the damn towels. Gross. But it does work. Using the nit comb THOROUGHLY is strong recommended. I must have pulled a tablespoon of dead or dying lice off each of our heads. But some were left alive and two days later we were all still savagely itchy. The infestation was bad and the label says this product kills the majority of eggs, but not all. So it was probably the newly hatched eggs beginning to feed. 4 days after first application we had to treat again. Combed out maybe 1/8 tsp of dead lice off each of us this time. That's still plenty. ALWAYS treat again to kill remaining eggs when you use permethrin. We followed up with yet a third application 4 days after the second. Combed out not much of anything the last time. Be realistic. Lice are not easy to kill. A triple treatment worked for us - make sure you are persistent. A good product when used properly. Poor results if you don't follow properly the instructions on the box.

Worth it!
Worked better than any other product I used for my child.

Not as potent as once was
Years ago, I used this and it truly killed all the bugs. This summer my daughter caught lice and we used this twice, one week apart. Soaked her whole head root to tip, let it set, lather and rinced. I bought the higher quality metal comb, tho she used the plastic one that came with this kid while in the shower regularly for a couple weeks. While going thru her her long hair little by little after the nix, I was still pulling out live bugs. They were slow, but they were not all dead as opposed to years ago when my last kid had it. I think the lice in my area has become resistant to this product.

Kills lice and nits
This actually kills lice and nits. Good lice killing shampoo. I would recommend this product

Works ok but definitely doesn’t kill the eggs
This product does NOT KILL the NITS (eggs) and may not get all the Lice. It does kill lice but you’ll most likely have to do multiple treatments. The comb that comes in the kit is useless, it doesn’t get everything out and pulls out a lot of hair. I ended up going to lice clinics of America because I couldn’t bare the thought of dealing with lice for weeks as some other reviewers noted. They took care of it in one shot and guarantee that you’ll be lice free. They also have a 30 day guarantee. They saved me a lot of stress and anxiety.

DO NOT BUY - BETTER TREATMENTS AVAILABLE
TLDR - go to Walgreens and get topical ivermectin lice treatment and save yourself a tremendous amount of stress and annoyance. Ivermectin will kill the nits and lice and does not require nit picking or combing. It may cost more upfront but this Nix treatment is a scam that to have any hope to work, requires an additional and separate nit comb. My wife and I work in healthcare. We went to the medical literature initially and settled on this Nix permethrin treatment because it was cheap and our kids case was mild. Bad choice. The combs in the box are not fine enough to effectively remove nits. The only way we got close to controlling the outbreak was to buy a separate metal comb. The hours we spent searching and picking by hand, we will never get back. After discussion with other providers about their own similar experience, both recommended ivermectin topically. It worked like a dream. We now have an unopened, unused treatment that Amazon’s app conveniently glitches when trying to return this inferior treatment.
