The first time my daughter brought lice home from school, I consulted the pharmacist, used an over-the-counter product, and the cheap plastic nit comb that came with it. Followed the directions exactly, hated the smell and hated using a toxic product, and then spent 4 hours thoroughly combing out the nits and many live lice. The next day there were still some live bugs in her hair (in spite of hours and hours of vacuuming carpet and upholstery and washing all bedding in hot water, and bagging up all stuffed animals). Got a heavy- duty prescription from the pediatrician, which did the job, but I felt horrible using it on her. The same boy in her 4th grade class brought lice to school again a few months later to the point where they were falling out of his head onto his desk, and girls were shreiking (shave that boy's head, mama!).This time I had Licelogic Clear and Free shampoo on hand (just in case!). I loved it! This time the nits were a lot easier to remove, the smell of the shampoo was good, and it left my daughter's hair and scalp in really good condition - clean and silky, without being oily. It works! There is enough left in the bottle for more treatments, but my husband wants me to buy 3 bottles ahead, just to have on hand. Parents need to use a really good nit comb (available on Amazon.com), follow directions exactly, and follow all the recommendations on the Internet concerning ridding them from the household (and please check the kids' scalps daily for 2 weeks, then weekly, so you don't spread them to other kids). I don't wish this nightmare on anyone.

My daughter came home from school and we saw the dreaded little bugs in her hair. I quickly turned to the computer for research and alternatives to the chemical treatments when I came across LiceLogic. This shampoo may seem expensive but the amount of treatments are far more than with other treatments and this product is safe to use again and again. Some of the well known treatments include only two treatments for around the same price and cannot be used repeatedly. We were skeptical it would work but figured we'd give it a try. The shampoo must remain in the hair for up to 30 minutes and the nits and lice DO still need to be picked/combed out. Missing even one can lead to reinfestation and the nightmare begins all over again. This shampoo smells great, is not harsh, and works! The instructions state to work into the hair and scalp for 15 minutes and then leave the product in for another 15 minutes before rinsing. + No Pesticides + Numerous Treatments Per Bottle + Smells Great + Does Not Burn Scalp + Safe For Daily Use - Having to leave the product in so long can be time consuming but not truely a downfall because it works! 5 Stars!!! _Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this to a friend looking for an alternative to the harsh chemical pesticides used for the treatment of lice/nits. The infestations can be challenging to overcome but with patience, work, and the right tools it can be done!

The lice were having a party in my hair They said they couldn't really give a care I was irritated beyond all belief These lice were really giving me grief! I sprayed in tea tree and lavender oil but the party I could not spoil Finally in desperation I checked my head After one shampoo nope they were not dead One laughed as it looked and jumped onto my finger Under the magnifying glass it was a dead ringer So one more shampoo I definitely tried And then it looked like all the lice had died I combed with a nit comb real good Now no chance these lice surely stood I looked again and no lice were on my head But the next day they came back and laughed instead If I needed a friend it would not be lice These vampire super lice are just not nice So if you want your hair and scalp to be really clean This shampoo is a first step and an absolute dream But what really helped and I can recommend highly Is putting Isabella's clearly lice oil in your hair nightly! After this shampoo that is what I decided to do! And maybe it would help you too! So don't despair and keep on fighting! If you've had a lice on your head sighting! Dilute and spray some peppermint and rosemary essential oil in your hair but get a lint roller and be aware A mass exodus will occur!!!! P.S. 2 - I also tried Nizoral shampoo and that works for the itchiness! P.S. 3 - Out of all the shampoos I tried this one is still the best so far for getting hair super clean and killing the live lice. You still need to comb out with a nit comb because that is the main issue. You can kill the lice but if you don't get all the eggs out, they return. P.S. 4 - I have used this shampoo eight times and there is still some in the bottle and I have very long hair. It seemed more effective when I left it on longer. Like 30 minutes from the time you put it on your hair seems the suggested length. I am not able to comb through my hair with this shampoo in my hair because my hair is so long and knots up. So I comb after I get out of the shower. It is easier to comb with a larger comb and then a smaller nit comb after that. I have a second bottle of this because it works better than other lice shampoos. P.S.- 5 Using this the tenth time seems to be the charm. Whatever was in my hair is now gone!
