Great value backed by excellent customer service
I would highly recommend this light to others as a great balance between quality and cost. I' m not easily impressed but based on other reviews I gave this package a shot. It shipped very fast and arrived in a nice designer box. The lights were easy to install and work great. The flashlights give adequate forward visibility and the tail lights really light you up for others to see.I had ordered two sets for 4 bikes. One light did not work and I found the problem was the battery holder by switching parts around. I did not contact Amazon but emailed the seller and within minutes the owner himself responded and a new one was sent immediately with a bonus taillight thrown in. I offer this information on a positive note as even the very best of products can have issues. It is the customer service and support that matter to me and in this case it was truly there. You can tell the owner believes in his product and backs it. He is trying to get the word out so that sales will increase and he can still offer this at a great price. He follows up each sale with emails thanking you and explaining how to use the product as well as how to contact him if you have questions. The flashlights are aluminum and well made. Everything else is plastic. The mounts are a balance between quality and cost. As a do-it-yourselfer I was happy with them. I just took some time with my wife and kids explaining how not to over tighten them so as to damage them where they attach to the bike. Next to be sure to not just pull the flashlight in and out of its holder but to first use the designs clamping knob to loosen and tighten. The taillights mount by stretching soft elastic plastic loops into a clip. Again, take your time and don't over stretch them. I have not had them for a long time but it might be a good idea to spray them or coat them with a silicone lube once a year to keep them pliable and strong.Overall I feel that value these cannot be beat. If you are a recreational biker I think you will be highly satisfied as I was. If your into hardcore biking you may not be satisfied with the forward beam or the mounts. But just remember to get anything better your going to pay at least double the price.

Their customer service is the best ever...
So far... I'm not so impressed.I used these for the first time yesterday - It was really dark and I actually had to cut my ride short because these got so dim while riding. I used some rechargeable energizer (nickel metal hydride) batteries that had been charged a few days prior.5 minutes into the ride both lights were too dim to ride by. I actually had to use my iPhone light to keep my ride going.I'm going to try to recharge the batteries one more time, and I'll test out some non-rechargeable batteries too.So far. I'm not impressed but perhaps my batteries are too old. I'll keep this review updated as I discover more.I may send these back... but we'll see.--- Update:So my trusty old rechargeable batteries are just not doing it with these. This last time out they lasted a few minutes longer but the ride was still cut short.(It's worth noting that my rechargables work with other devices, like portable speakers, just fine. But they are about a year old so that may have a LOT to do with it.)Additionally, (this blew my mind) the guys who make/sell these lights called and left a message on my voice mail!(I've not been able to get back to them, but WOW... A real person on the other end of the transaction! And, one who actually cares - Whoa...).Had to bump this up a star just for the fact that the folks who make this product clearly CARE about your happiness. Very rare and pure awesome!I've picked up some Duracell AAA batteries. I'll update this again when I've been out on a ride with the new batteries.--- 2nd update:Ok - I finally had a chance to ride at night with these and some new Duracell AAA batteries (6 for the set of lights). These are pretty fantastic lights. I rode faster in places I would have never attempted to ride in before with my other light. (These lights can't be over driven by the likes of me.)I rode in the darkest places I could find on my normal riding paths (not street lights, not car headlights - really really really dark) and I have to say these live up to the marketing. My only gripe is the battery types (I don't like one time use disposable batteries). I'm going to follow up with vendor to see about buying some lights they commented on picking up, and I'll also try out some Eneloop and Lithium batteries.I bumped this up another star because they DO deliver on their promise!I'll update again after trying out some other types of rechargeable batteries.--- 3rd Update:So after riding with these for a few months I'm taking a star off. The battery life on these really just don't compare to LED lights (I've replaced brand new batteries on once after only a month of riding and I've never replaced my lights that have LEDs in them for over a year now). And, really they aren't that much brighter than a decent quality LED.Something new has started to happen with them too... now if I hit a strong bump in the road (keep in mind I ride on sidewalks and asphalt not mountains) occasionally one of the lights will just shut off... or even better it will change modes and start blinking. I've fiddled with them a bit to get them to stop (opened and closed the battery casing) so it's not enough that I'm calling them in on that lifetime warranty they offer...These guys get an A for effort but the product is really just "Meh" in my opinion.I really really really wanted to love these lights (they look cool and the folks who sell/make them are really nice).I'm keeping them, but I'm not overwhelmed with the desire to tell my friends about them.--- 4th Update:Ok... so I've bumped these up to 5 stars but there is a catch. The customer support from these guys is just amazing (really the best - these guys deserve every star and then some).Add these batteries to your order and these lights are perfect.http://www.amazon.com/Bright-Eyes-Battery-Holder-Replacement/dp/B00PXTO90A/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1428012566&sr=1-2With these batteries the lights are powerful and they last for long rides with no problem (2 hours). At first I was really unimpressed with the light, but with these batteries (which are rechargeable) this setup is perfect. You won't be disappointed if you pick up these with the batteries too.

Second Set 6 years later
Just bought these again remembering how awesome they were when I got them for a bike about 6 years ago. Best bicycle/scooter headlights for sure for the price. Super reasonable for the best quality. Sure you could spend around $100 for about 2-3x the brightness, but how fast are you going? These are really bright. I used to use them for off-roading too and they did fantastic. I still had an old rear red light from my old order and I slapped some new batteries from the new order into it and now it’s nearly bright as the new ones! Perfect if you need a couple lights or if you want to pair them even better. Zoom option available on these too although I use a search and assist flashlight for that, so not necessary for me but a nice option because you can increase brightness, however it also narrows the field. Useful for adjusting… Also the lens on these look like a crazy cool water droplet! Very unique flashlight… Love it! I hope this product blows all the other flashlights out of the water because it’s better than ALL the new crap on the market and for a really reasonable price!PS everything is cheaper directly from Bright Eyes Product’s website (not to be mixed up with the “Coon Hunting” website).Changed review 10/15/22 because their quality control has issues. Sometimes, the lights just aren’t as nice even if you change the batteries. That’s disappointing. But a good unit is well worth the price.
