Zojirushi CD-NAC40BM Micom Water Boiler and Warmer (4-Liter, Metallic Black)

This water boiler is so convenient! We use it several times a day. I don't need to run gallons of water at the tap to get hot water. This makes the availability of hot water an immediate option. I appreciate the opportunity to set the temperature and love that it is spot on. My hubs uses a neti pot and this boiled water is safe to use because it is held at a high temperature all the time. Highly recommend!

I've been a loyal Zojirushi water boiler user for years, and this is an excellent upgrade! I previously owned a model with 800W heating power, and this 1500W version is just as good, but even more powerful. It boils water significantly faster, which is incredibly convenient for my busy mornings. Everything I loved about my previous Zojirushi is still present in this model: the exceptional build quality, the reliable temperature control, and the peace of mind knowing my water is always perfectly warm at my desired setting. Whether I need hot water for tea, coffee, or cooking, this boiler delivers consistently. It maintains the selected temperature without any fluctuations. Best thing in my Minnesota kitchen. Worth every penny. Easy to fill up, quick, energy efficient and so nice to not have to wait a long time for nice warm water.

Great so far

Works great, super convenient to always have hot water at the right temperature that you want for different teas: 160F, 175F, 195F and 208F. The capacity is just what we need and refill it every couple of days. It boils the water to 212F and then cools down to your set temperature when you add a lot of cold water. So not instant if you need a certain temperature right away.

This is an excellent water boiler. It does exactly what I wanted and is always ready. We use it for tea, soups and most of all baby formula. It keeps the water at a constant 160° (needs to be 158° to kill any bacteria in the baby formula - 160° is close enough). I never have to wait to make a bottle. I use half warm water from the boiler, add the formula powder, stir, then add the other half of the water cold from the tap. That makes a perfect temperature warm bottle for baby. I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and it’s been used multiple times a day every day. When it dies, I will buy another.

Indispensible. One of my favourite appliances along with my Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy rice cooker and Vitamix, it's just so convenient to always have boiling hot water on tap. Especially if you're someone like me who will turn kettles on and then walk away and then forget about it instantly. I dunno, this is just the type of thing that once you have one you can't really live without it.

This is a great item, top quality, perfect for having hot water on hand. The only drawback is that there is no off button, so you have to unplug it to turn it off.

I bought this for my workplace so that my coworkers and I have a ready source of hot water for our tea, americano, instant noodles or general hot water fix. I’ve kept it running 24/7 for the last two months, refilling it with our filtered water and keeping the hold temperature at 195 degrees F (~90 degrees C) and have had absolutely had no issue with it including no hard water deposits or rust. I like that it’s simple to operate and has several useful settings including temperature presets for different teas and a timer function to auto turn off. It quickly boils water when I refill it so people don’t need to wait long for their hot water fix. Overall it’s an another great quality product from Zojirushi. My only complaints are: - Doesn’t have a quick release plug. Another model I have for my home has a quick release plug which not only makes it easy to move around (to refill/clean it or use it somewhere else), but also adds some safety in case someone tugs on the power cord preventing any accidental spillage of hot water. - Temperature labels are only in Fahrenheit… wish they can with another set of labels for use with the way more intuitive Celsius.

Boils water quickly, nice colour grey, excellent quality item. My previous Zojirushi water boiler lasted 10 years (every day use) but the seals started to degrade and they no longer make replacement lid, so I had to buy a new one.

I’ve read the commentary of lots of people comparing this to a kettle. It is not a kettle, it is a device which provides instant boiling water. It takes a while to boil when refilled (~45min) but that’s because it only pulls 800Wh. While holding the water’s temperature it pulls around 35Wh. Consequently it is very quiet while boiling and does not risk tripping your breaker if you’re doing other things. Its dispenser is very high quality & does not drip. You can set a timer to delay boiling and it will be DONE for the time you set. Additionally there is no auto-off (aside of dry boil) because, again, this is a device which provides instant boiling water and not a kettle. It also sings! Highly highly recommend this device.

Works great and very convenient.

I've now had this unit a year and it is heading to the garbage. I am not sure what the interior is made of, but it has rusted out considerably as shown in the picture. Not healthy at all. When filled with water, over the course of a day or so, rust will start to float in the water. My previous unit from a different manufacturer never had this issue. Make sure if you buy one of these devices, you ensure it has a stainless interior. The unit itself functions great and I was very happy with it. But the rusted interior in 12 months is unacceptable at this price point.
