Incredible lens at an amazing price
Absolutely love this lens. Value for quality is incredible. I own quite a few Sony G lens and in the right circumstances it it rivals their quality for a fraction of the price.I really hope they add a few offerings for Full Frame too as I’d purchase these instead of Sony.

Would not work in auto with the A6000 then the Diaphragm stuck
Was aware of the lens limited functionality with the A6000 but wanted a occasional use lens for low light and minimum depth of field shots. Despite latest firmware lens would only work in manual never got it to work in auto even after switching off and or removing/replacing lens. The aperture remained fixed on one setting. Excepted the limitations but on next use diaphragm shut right down and stayed there despite trying all of the above.Decided to return. Can I justify the price of the Sony 24 mm?

Much more than just good value
I am a convert. I never thought I’d buy a ‘cheap’ lens for my XT3, but after seeing review after review of the Viltrox prime line-up, I decided to try out the 23mm and see how it compares to my Fuji lenses. The build quality and feel are excellent. The metal body has a premium feel. The aperture ring has nice resistance, but no clicks apart from the Auto position. But even then it’s not too difficult to knock it round. So points off here. The image is sharp as any premium prime, though a little soft fully open at f/1.4. Close it a few stops and it’s tack sharp.Auto focus is good, with only minor hunt or delay. The aperture motor is more audible than Fuji lenses.Video shooters will miss OIS. And the lack of weather resistance will make this an indoor or good weather only lens. But overall this is such good value that I have to recommend it for anyone looking for a f/1.4, 35mm full frame equivalent prime lens, but isn’t keen on spending big bucks for the Fuji offering. If you don’t need f/1.4, and you shoot in all weather, the Fuji 23mm f/2 would be a more sensible choice, if a little more expensive.

No Complaints - seems very sharp
Bought as a cheaper alternative to Sigma 16mm and seems very sharp - no complaints whatsoever!

Compares well with more expensive offerings.
Outstanding value, high build quality and it looks the part. Auto focus is spot on and I'm very pleased with picture quality.
