It has springs an it's comfortable, don't let the package fool you because it looks smaller but it is the right size.

This is the exact thing we were looking for. The exact replacement of our previous futon mattress. We bought one from somewhere else and it had no padding this one is comfortable. A little pricey but worth it. Glad i dont have to keep looking.

I’m so impressed with EVERYTHING about this product! While visiting my son and his wife in South Philly the last 5 weeks, i slept in the living room on a spare mattress on the futon frame laid flat since the original futon mattress had practically collapsed. I did a lot of research on futon mattresses while I was there - the top 3 in every review had inner springs and/or memory foam with an 8” minimum thickness. This one fit all those criteria, and the price is more than fair considering the quality. I ordered one in dark grey right before I left as my payback for all the wonderful weekend museum and mural tours. Delivery estimate was 5-9 days by FedEx and we figured with the 4th of July long weekend it would be sometime next week. What a surprise when I checked this morning (the 5th) and saw delivery TODAY!! 5 days from Minnesota to Philadelphia and FedEx delivered right to their door. They just now set it in place and texted that it’s beautiful!! If the manufacturer happens to read this - my compliments for being 110% satisfied, and especially that it’s made in the USA. Sharon

I found this futon perfect for a couch well made heavy duty material and construction very happy with this purchase best review I can give is that I would buy this again

Comfortable

We bought this for use primarily as a couch. It has an internal hinge at a fixed point that does not really match the folding point of our frame, and so it does not sit right in our frame when upright in couch position. Our frame folds at the center and the mattress fold-point is off-center. It is comfortable and well-constructed, just a bad fit for our frame.

I bought this one to replace my old one on my futon in my finished basement room . It is definitely better quality than the one I replaced but a little difficult getting it to fit exactly how it’s supposed too,but it works for me, I will say that it is something that you wouldn’t want to use as your go too sofa to do a lot of relaxing and watching your favorite teams every day not something that I could sit on for over an hour but it’s good to have in the spare room which can also be used for a sleep over occasionally.A little pricey but pretty thick and fits my needs so I’m happy.
