Excellent quality. Beautiful.
I bought both of these hummingbird feeders. They are quite sturdy. There appear to be seams on both sides of the feeder. According to the seller, these are traces left by the mold during the hand blowing process, not seams. (See user manual). They don’t affect the beauty of the feeders at all. The feeders are well packaged in styrofoam in a box w/ the seller’s emblem on top. The S hook & hanging rope are on the outside of the styrofoam & the feeder, ant moat, & small brush (tucked behind the feeder) are on the inside of the styrofoam. See photos. Keep the box & styrofoam to store your feeder in the winter. The gasket is a bit thin. I have other feeders with better gaskets. They should be fine though. The feeders are brightly colored w/ plenty of red to attract hummingbirds. My photos include pics of each feeder from both sides so you can see how the color swirls are beautiful from any angle. The bottom of the glass is completely smooth on both feeders. This isn’t always the case w/ feeders & I appreciate the attention to detail. I did notice that the perches on one feeder are angled higher than the other. There is a pic of this with the feeder bottoms next to each other showing the difference. I will have to gently bend the perches down. Not a big deal. But, if you’re making hummingbird feeders, your perches shouldn’t have to be adjusted by the customer. I also noticed that some of the flower petals on that same feeder were slightly bent. They won’t affect the hummingbirds. But, something I did notice. I read quite a few reviews where people mentioned having to hold the feeders awkwardly to fill them because they aren’t top fillers. If you remove your sink stopper, you can place the feeder in the sink opening, easily fill it, & screw on the bottom. To air dry your feeder, put the sink stopper back in & place your feeder right side up to allow water to drip out & the feeder to completely dry before packing it away for the winter. I also noticed some pics in other reviews w/ the ant moats upside down. You should place the moat w/ the reservoir up & keep it filled with water. Keep the water clean as it not only stops the ants but sometimes the hummers will drink from it. The piece of rope that comes w/ the feeder seems pretty sturdy & will work fine shoulder you need to hang your feeder with it. The S hook is not flimsy. I filled both feeders & neither one leaks. The seller includes a detailed user manual which even has a nectar changing guide listing how often to change the nectar according to the outdoor temperature. It also includes a nectar recipe. I have never gotten such a detailed user manual. A card w/ all the information to contact the seller is also included. I appreciate a seller who shows they have a commitment to their buyers. I’ve bought plant hangers that clamp to a deck or porch railing to hang my feeders from where I don’t have an overhang to put a hook in. You can find them at big box home improvement stores. But, they sell out quickly in the spring. I also hang them on shepherd hooks in my flower gardens near the plants they love. Besides colorful feeders, hummers also like moving water such as fountains or light sprayer. I had to move unexpectedly in September so I’m crossing my fingers that I will have hummingbirds at my new condo.

Attracted hummingbird within a day.
The glass feeder is beautiful and sturdy. I was surprised at the thickness and quality. I did not experience overly rough edges but will check each time I clean it. I have observed only one hummingbird in my yard in Long Island, New York. It stopped by my flower baskets, but not often. I put the feeder up and within a day, it came to drink several times. The bird is shy and will no longer come when we are outside or even talking near the windows. But now, we have quietly observed the solo bird visiting the feeder daily in early morning and evenings. I finally got a photo today. I have not had any problem with ants or other animals near the feeder. I put cooking oil in the moat. It is on a 90" shepherds hook and is very stable, even on very breezy days. I filled it about 2/3 with the nectar; and that adds a lot of weight and stabilization. I am very surprised and happy with this purchase. Adding the hummingbird to the many birds that visit our feeders has been a wonderful end-of-summer experience. I hope some migrating hummingbirds show up. I have read that it is OK to leave the feeder out into the fall. The sugar and water mixture will freeze, but at a lower temperature than water alone. I will bring it in when temps are forecast to dip into the low 30s. This information from the Audubon site answered this question: When should I take down my feeders in the fall? A: You can leave your feeders out for as long as you have hummingbirds around. You can even continue to provide the feeder after your hummingbirds disappear—late migrants or out-of-range species can show up into early winter. UPDATE: Serious concern Be sure to clean and wipe dry all surfaces and after every filling. I recently noted two tiny feathers stuck to side of the metal perch area. This was shocking to me, as the bird is so tiny and must have had to pull free. Possible causes: I found that the feeder base was quite sticky. When I had last filled the feeder, nectar leaked. I reset the base and rinsed off the feeder. I should have wiped it dry to remove all nectar residue. It hangs in the sun, and perhaps the nectar left a sticky film. I also used oil in the moat. We had heavy rain. Perhaps the oil flowed out of the moat, over the surface onto the base and dried in the sun. As I cleaned the feeder thoroughly, I noted the sealant on the metal parts was disintegrating and left the area very sticky. I am unsure of which variable caused the sticky base or breakdown of the surface. But it is very hazardous to birds. I have not seen the hummingbird since. Note: this is preventable with very careful handling, cleaning, and drying of all parts. I recommend DO NOT use oil in the moat. Use gloves and hold fingers over two of the feeding holes while inverting to prevent leakage.

A beautiful design and wonderful for attracting hummingbirds to your home
We were given one as a gift and were reluctant as we had trouble with ants with past feeders the hummingbirds started feeding as soon as we hung it up so many we had to get a second one to accommodate strong sturdy and no leaks to attract ants plus the ant deterrent oil cup keeps the ants from crawling down to get in the feeders the bird’s flock to it everyday such an enjoyable time watching them. The glass is so beautiful too not just an ordinary plain feeder

Refreshingly High Quality Well Designed Product
I’ve often said that China can make whatever quality level of goods they want, they just most often choose to make the lowest common denominator. This product is the opposite of that. The glass is nice and thick and well finished. You can see the vibrant colors are blown into the glass and not a sticker like some other feeders. The base of the glass is ground flush and the metal base is high quality and well finished also. The feeder ports are small brass barrels instead of grommets and have no burrs to hurt the birds tongues and are small enough to keep out bees. The painted flowers are vibrant to attract hummers and the paint seems thick for weather resistance. The metal base seals up well with the plastic bottom at a rubber or silicone seal. Mine does not leak at all. We had a hummer at the feeder within 45 minutes of hanging it. We’re using the un-colored Kaytee hummingbird electrolyte food and they seem to like it. Update after a few weeks use: There are so many birds using this feeder that we’re going through feeder food at a silly rate. We have already filled this feeder three times in just a few weeks. It doesn’t leak and nothing besides hummingbirds is getting the food, so we just have that many birds using it.
