Good instrument but terrible case
One of the case latches snapped off the first time I tried to use it. Now the case looks weird and won't close right. The gauge/frame itself is super flexible, well made, and works very well for many types of tool calibrations.

This is a must-have for those who need accurate measurements for their power tools
First, I would like to say the tool is top notch related to quality and construction. Everything fits together with no slop or play in the fixture. I had to re-align my table saw trunnion and couldn't have done it without this tool. It is quite easy to use and the strong magnets in the base are great when you need to fix the unit to a metal base for measurement. It was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I love this tool!
Love this tool. It's my go to for setting up my table saw, compound miter and drill press. Much faster, greater accuracy and more versatile than my previous methods using a magnetic indicator stand. My only con, the price. Seems a bit expensive for what you actually get and could use a better indicator.

Indispensable wood shop tool
This is a remarkable and versatile tool for performing setups and alignments of woodworking machines. I have used this tool to align and adjust my table saw, to measure runout on my drill press, and to setup and align a new jointer/planer. If there is some sort of shop machine alignment or adjustment that can't be performed with the Una-Gauge, I can't imagine what it is. Between this tool, a good straightedge, and a good square, I would expect that anyone can keep woodworking machines in precise, safe alignment. The included dial indicator has a resolution and margin of error of .001in, which is more than accurate enough for safe and precise alignment of woodworking machines. For some metalworking applications, it may be necessary to use a finer dial indicator, but someone with such a dial indicator could easily use it in the standard-sized holes of the Una-Gauge.All told, an incredibly useful and well designed tool. I don't think I could replace it with any other single tool that I know of.

i like it
I ordered the digital version directly from Betterley. Turns out they ship the iGagin digital indicator so now I have two of those. The design looks sound and some simple tests (I don't have a granite plate just a Veritas straight edge) show acceptable accuracy. There is a flaw though. The current miter bar only has one spring loaded plunger to remove play. This means the bar can rock on that bearing. It also means if your miter slot is narrow you can be in trouble. Ideally they'd use two bearings or an expander. The iGagin jig says I have .003 max between the blade and the miter slot while the una gauge says .007 or .003. Of course both numbers are within the spec of .010. In comparison the surface of my straight edge is reported as +- .0015.

Betterly UNA-Gauge
This system is everything promised. I am enjoying the precision that it allows. I use it on my table saw for everything. On my drill press and router table so far. It is well made to say the least and MADE IN THE USA! Next is my jointer and expect it to provide the precision alignment of the cutter blades promised.

Worked exactly as advertised
Used this awesome tool to align my new table saw blade & fence. I think I barely tapped into what it's capable of doing. Planning on checking my router table alignment as well. Highly recommend this versus trying to assemble a tool set as capable. Would like to see an option of upgrading to a gauge with .0005 resolution as this was recommended by saw manufacturer but the .001 resolution of the included gauge worked well for me.
