Like-New Ring Indoor Cam, Compact Plug-In HD security camera with two-way talk, Works with Alexa - White

The media could not be loaded. I didn't want to mess around with an outdoor wireless system but I wanted a camera I could just plug in and place in my window, to see who pulls up in my driveway or if someone tries to mess with my mailbox. This camera is not sold as an outdoor camera but surprisingly, it works great for what I needed. I already have a Ring doorbell, so I just plugged it in, followed the directions and within minutes, I was viewing my driveway and mailbox with an exceptionally clear view for being placed in a window behind glass. We ended up taking the screen off and it works even better. You can also, sync this camera with the Ring doorbell for a view of the driveway then immediately the front door. I especially love that feature. As you can see from the photos, even the night vision is pretty good, especially because we have an automatic outdoor light, that is motion activated and goes off, if someone walks up, so combined with this camera, it is working perfectly well for us. So if you just want a camera you can plug in and use at your window, this one is really good, just be SURE to go into settings and TURN OFF AUDIO, or else, EVERYTHING you say, will be RECORDED, which is not the big a deal but I just wanted the camera for viewing outside, not for recording voice or talking. You can even set the motion sensors, to only pick up certain areas, for instance, I do not want to record my neighbors, so, I have the settings, set, to record my yard and right around my mailbox only but as you can see from the photos, the view is quite large and clear. You do have to pay a small monthly fee, if you want your device to automatically record video and store it for you but you do not have to have a monthly service plan, to just to use the device and monitor what is going on yourself. I am happy with this camera and it serves it's purpose well. I run a small business out of my home and I mail a LOT of packages and now that I have this camera, I get a notification, anytime anyone goes NEAR my mailbox, so now I can make sure, that no one is trying to steal packages from my mailbox or my front porch. (and I can always see when my post person arrives to pick up additional packages) Just so you know, that if you do choose to get a Ring doorbell device, you CAN actually SPEAK to the person that comes to your DOOR, even if you are not at home, another great feature. Hope all this helps, especially for those of you, who are looking for a plug in camera, with basically this same idea in mind.. 5 stars *****Oh and as you can see from the night photos, a little light comes on, when there is motion, another little feature I particularly like, as it might deter someone, if they see they are actually being recorded. And no, it is not a perfectly clear night vision view but again, it serves my purpose, simply by detecting someone is outside and then notifying me, rather than me paying a small fortune for the outdoor devices and then having to pay to have them installed.

I mainly use this to watch my dog while I’m out of the house. It’s easy to set up anywhere. It has motion detection and night vision.

First off easy to install, good quality. Very sensitive to movement. Gets a big angle and you get to choose ranges of motion and movement. Size is very good. Picture quality is great you get to see almost everything as long you set it to your angles . I get all the notifications needed. I am planning on buying more of these, they are not wireless but the cable is pretty long.
