It's really only for a phone: don't bother with an actual camera, even a light one

This tripod is perfect for my bridge camera. Nice and light and easy to put up, but it can be a bit iffy putting the legs back in at times. But that really is probably down to me half the time. The carry bag is a bit flimsy and probably won't last long but I wouldn't let that put you off, it's a great product overall.

Tried to use it for astro photography with my mirrorless Sony camera and a fairly big lense (18-200) and it was very flimsy and wobbly.

Not really fit for any purpose unless used indoors with a light phone. It's like three extending car aerial tied together. I heartily recommend looking elsewhere for a tripod. I returned this immidiately.

Although this tripod is really light and at first seemed fairly sturdy, one of the legs came away from the base after 6 months of light use. It's now only good as a selfie stick that I could have purchased for £1.99.I cannot find any way of contacting the seller to arrange a replacement or repair :(

I've used versions of this design for decades and I find it lightweight and easy to use. The trick to making this a sturdy tripod is to fully extend the legs and then rotate the top section to the right until it clicks. Setup the tripod and pull the legs outward at the bottom so that they are slightly bowed. It will be very strong and hold quite a bit of weight. The weak point is the head arm twist lock. It is only friction held so make sure your camera weight is as balanced as possible. Big lenses should be used with their tripod collar or they become dangerously front heavy.

Not for a heavy camera or uneven ground, because the legs aren't that sturdy and this tripod works best when all 3 legs are fully extended.That said, at 1 lb, and a reasonable price, this tripod works great for a cellphone on even ground

This is a good solution for cell phone use. An SLR would be way too much for it. The ball head does not hold and offers very little flexibility. In portrait orientation, you basically can't aim down at all, and leveling the horizon required adjusting legs. I carry it hooked on my belt, but either the arm sticks out, or the cell phone mount does. The legs will lock if twisted, but the ball detents hold well enough without. The head is attached with a nut accessible from the bottom, so I will be trying other small ball heads and phone grips on it.
