I am always very skeptical of reviews on Amazon but I decided to try this mattress for my new sleeper sofa and I'm glad I looked into it and weighed out my options. This sofa mattress is incredibly comfortable. I sleep on a Sleep Number bed and this mattress is just as good! Looks are deceiving as it is a 4in to 4.5in mattress and kind of looks like a standard pillow top. It came coiled up in a box and it was "space packed" aka suctioned to be as flat as possible. It was easy to remove from the packaging and the plastic wrapping it came in. I laid it out for the night and it grew to its full size. People have complained about the odor but to me it smells like the plastic it came in, pretty standard for most things. I'd say that within 3 hours it was fully expanded and by 10 hours there was no more plastic odor. I am very happy with this as it is quite affordable. Some of the "top line" sleeper mattresses are at least $300-$500 and this one was half the price and of equal standard. You can't feel the sleeper base at all as the foam is very dense and even rolling around on it, it keeps a good shape. The memory foam springs back very quickly and helps relieve pressure on your butt and spine. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is skeptical about the reviews and is looking for a comfortable and affordable option for their sleeper sofa.

So much better than the bag of coils that came with my pullout coach! I bought a pullout bed couch for company that would be visiting fairly regularly and the mattress with the couch was horrible. This mattress is comfortable and well made. There is no smell. Give decent support for being a thin mattress and I slept fairly well on it. Definitely recommend

Perfect fit, very comfortable, very good quality construction. I highly recommend it! It has the right degree of softness. Price is very fair. It has low material odor--and what odor exists is pleasant. As others point out, let it sit in a fully unfolded state for a few hours so that the mattress expands and the creases smoothed out. Be sure to remove the packing plastic so that material odors are allowed to escape the mattress. I didn't experience feeling the cross-bar (I'm only 148 lbs), but if you do, it isn't the fault of the mattress but, rather, is inherent problem in sofa beds. Solution: You can temporarily place folded up blankets or similar to build up the sagging region either side of the bar.

Bought to replace original sleeper sofa mattress, that I hadn’t realized was so bad! When I got Covid last summer, I isolated from my family in the basement, but my whole body was so sore and I could not get comfortable. Not sure soreness was from the mattress or from having Covid, but I had never slept on it before and didn’t realize that it was lumpy and had a huge divot in the middle. It’s where my dad always sleeps when he stays over, but he’d never mentioned that the mattress was awful! I tried folding the comforter in creative ways to fill the hole, and laid there and scrolled Amazon for this one. I recovered before it arrived, so I was back to my nice Tempurpedic in the bedroom, but now I’m confident that when my dad or anyone else stays over, that they can actually get a decent night’s sleep. My dad did say that it was a “110% improvement” when he was here for Christmas. It still folds up nicely when we need the bed folded up and out of the way, and doesn’t have any marks or creases from having been folded up when it’s unfolded again. And next time I get Covid, I’ll be ready.

I ordered this topper to use with our pullout couch in the den. I read that other customers were able to put it on top of their existing mattress and fold their bed up as usual. That was not the case for me. So, I removed the old mattress and replaced it with this one. I tried laying on the bed and it was no better than the original mattress. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get it back in the box and therefore not returnable. We will have to keep it and drag it out when we need the bed for extra guests. I wish the topper had straps that would allow it to stay in place on top of the existing mattress. I can see it sliding around when people turn over while sleeping. Hopefully this review will help others to avoid the expensive mistake I made.

I would consider this more of a topper, not a mattress. I bought this for my sleeper sofa at my camp and I still ended up using my old mattress under it. It’s soft and nice just not really thick enough to be a “mattress”

It fit my hide a bed couch perfectly. Very comfortable. Much better than the original air mattress.
