I got this for my smaller paperback books, but it appears that I will be putting much larger books on this. First off, coming out of the box was a plethora of Styrofoam cubes which protected the unit. Packaging was done with great care and the shelves arrived with no damage. Assembly was easy, even for someone like me with limited mobility, as the metal section folded and just needed to be opened. The shelves were unscratched from shipping and were easy to place in the sturdy metal shelf unit. They needed to snap into place with screws for the rear locking them into the metal shelf unit. The end result is a fairly sturdy, yet lightweight unit which is perfect for most storage applications. I intend to purchase another few as I have a lot more books to shelf. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a smaller shelf for needed applications. This would be ideal for heavy books, even plants or any display application. The completed unit is also very aesthetically pleasing, and I am entirely satisfied that it fits into my decor in the living room and my eventual library in the bedroom. For the money, this is probably the best shelving for its size and cost on Amazon. A great value!

I bought this when I relocated my office into my living room. It went together well and looks great. The feet were nice and adjustable to be able to level the unit. I have it loaded up with books and some display items. Great dimensions and at a good price point!

I like these shelves. Pretty easy to assemble by yourself. They look nice and are sturdy for my needs.Happy with my purchase.

Good:1. Assembly was fine. I did it with the tools provided in about 30-45 min.2. There were times when holes did not line up perfectly but that was due to my own error, not the manufacturers. These instructions are (more-or-less) in picture-form only, so you really need to pay attention to the schematics in order to not put a brace/rod/board on backwards, etc.3. Every part (save the boards) comes with at least one *extra* in case you lose one.4. The piece itself seems sturdy and capable of decent wear-and-tear.Bad:1. I do not like the fact that the fasteners that attach the shelf above to the horizontal middle-shelf below are visible and chrome, as opposed to covered with an insert or matte in finish. I get that this piece is supposed to be inexpensive, but cheap inserts surely wouldn't have hurt the bottom line. I'll just have to put tall items against the mid-walls to cover this up. A small peeve.2. The metal ladder-frames on either side are each made of upper & lower pieces which need to slide into one another and then be bolted together. The process of sliding one into the other is a lot more rigorous than any other aspect of assembly. It took elbow grease and a bit of finagling. But when put together, felt sturdy and reassuring.I'll update if anything egregious happens, but so far I'm not regretting the purchase. It's cheap, looks decent, and can be sent off in the future with a child to college.

It takes a bit to assemble. Not hard, just LOTS of screws to put in. No real written instructions so just look at all the pictures and figure it out. Not that hard. Once assembled it is sturdy. Had problems on 2 getting the screw on feet nubs and finally gave up on one. 3 went in easily and the 4th, wouldn't budge, even with pliers. Otherwise, for the price, it does look nice.

Product arrived much sooner than expected! It was so easy to assemble. Each part was labeled and the instructions was super easy to follow. I assembled it with no assistance. It looked exactly like the picture and looks even better when assembled. Super happy with this product and absolutely recommend. Great buy!
