Seriously, these whistles will make you deaf if you don't protect your ears! I got these whistles and went outdoors to tests one, and without blowing hard at all, it shrieked very loud. I didn't try to blow harder, the sound I heard could be heard really far!I noticed that the reviews said 11 reviews, but only one review showed up. Not sure if this review will be seen, but if you see it, order this whistle, it might save your life if you are boating or camping or hiking!!

Blew a little at first then I gave it my best big bad wolf——- holy guacamole!!!! This is the loudest whistle I have ever heard!!!’Ear piercing, good for emergencies, bad if your young children get a hand and decide to do a living room parade during a zoom call.

this is a great thing to have when you are out and about either on a hike, walk or just going out for a drive. it is louad and can be herd far away. i have used it in tests and have found that if you get hurt or injured on a trail you can blow this and you will be found.

Blows loud enough - I have a different (traditional shape orange marine) whistle that is louder and a bit better, so 3 stars (maybe four). Nice for a two pack. Definitely you should have a whistle when you kayak for emergencies.
