This is pretty important if you want a spark...
DO NOT be like me and hook up one lead right away to test to see if it works. The green lead, in my case going to the sear burner, functions as the ground. The other leads/burners don't do squat. This is buried in the instruction booklet I threw away. You need to have the green lead attached to the burner that is attached to clean/freshly sanded contact point with the grill body and have the screw tight against the burner. If you do not have this lead grounded, no spark and you'll be sending it back (again) thinking it does not work, or spend hours digging the instructions out of the trash. Page through the instructions to about the middle. This step is pretty damn important. Happy grilliing!

Great replacement!
Not bad to install. Started right up after installation. I don’t even the OEM ignitor working as fast as this one when we first got the grill. Way cheaper than the Weber ignitor as well.

Battery sketch is backwards.
The part arrived late due to USPS usual problems. It did fit perfectly and seems to be an exact match for the original ignition system. I have only one negative comment - the instructions for battery placement are backwards. The ignition system would not work unless the battery was installed with the negative terminal in first.

Great replacement part
Was a perfect replacement for a failed electronic starter. Easy to install had everything.

Worked great. Took longer to clean the grill than to install new igniter.
Works better than orig equip which i had to bend the wire probe over the gas burner tube to be closer to the burner to get a spark. These all worked great without any bending. Only issue i had was the rubber over the button was off but in the box when I got it. I just pushed it back on, seems like a poor design for retention, we'll see. FYI: My old OEM part had a metal strap for the neg on the battery which was not present on this one; it was just shinny silver plastic so I tested it out before installing. It worked fine so they must use conductive paint on the plastic to get the ground to the switch; it looked defective but was not.

Weber Genesis II E-310 Success
Weber Genesis II E-310 Success. Don’t be shy when you remove the burners up, then left & up, to free them up amid installation. Everything else was routine, until I installed a battery. The written directions had the positive and negative reversed. The black battery cap had the + sign molded atop, I noticed when I flipped the battery. Whew. The ignition button seems cheaply made compared with the 2017 OEM part. Otherwise, it seems fine. Directions, while imperfect, were sufficient.
