Perfect for my needs with my crafts. Using it to make wire coils.

I ordered several of these rods for coil-building, mostly for the larger coils where appropriate tools are not included in any "vape kits". These are for 4.5mm to 7mm (yes I have some gigantic atomizers).I'm very pleased with this purchase. All of the rods were within .05mm of their targets, in which the difference may or may not be accounted for by limitations of the digital calipers that I am using. Machining and tolerances look to be well on point here and these should serve me well for some time to come. I tried to go lowest cost with some other rods that I acquired elsewhere, and these were definitely the way to go, and the way I should have gone originally.

just what I needed

These steel bars were mostly as advertised. My use needs very accurate grinding to work and these have visible scuffs and have to be machined to a lower diameter to be useful. The steel is uniform and well hardened. They appear to be some sort of stainless. Ends appear to be a bit malformed in the cutting process, making using them as a turning shaft cause for re machining them to exact fit. They would work for a 3018 project.

I know it sounds dumb but these are factory straight where as often I have to replace new rods that come in the build kits because they are mass cut somewhere extra cheap and often arrive bent or no the correct length.Of and they are round enough that toy can roll them across a glass plate mirror or in my case, my 300lb Starrett AA+ Lab Grade Pink Granite precision table with a flatness of around +-0.001”Did I mention that they are straight?

Used these rods to make axles for some DIY Heely type shoes. Bought the inserts from Amazon and then made some wheels from resin because I couldn’t find any I loved. Worked perfect, the size was consistently dead on with mics all the way down the length of both pieces.

Thought these would be more precise. Had to grind down the horribly misshapen ends due to lazy cutting leaving huge burs. Not even close to being straight as can be seen in the photo attached. Won't work for rotary applications requiring any straightness
