Batman Classic TV Series Action Figure
I grew up with this show like a lot of people did. I am a huge Batman fan, easily my favorite comic character of all time. I could go on and on about the Bats but I'll keep this review about the figure itself. The packaging you'll notice immediatley, the card that the figure is blistered too is bright and colorful and represents the show and all of its onomatopoeic awesomeness. Personally I think the card is a bit on the tall side, it's a big card for the figure, slightly too big. And while I like the card and all the colors, I am not super keen on the card shape, nor the ugly font on the blister (Which is not the iconic Batman font that is on the card itself). As far as packaging goes it's not the best, but it's certianly not the worst either and works well for the property and the figure itself. The figure is pretty great. People had valid complaints with the Batman and Robin 2 pack that was released earlier this month with the figures legs below the thigh and arms below the shoulder being slightly different shades of paint that don't match. Well you'll find the same problem here. This is a problem that Mattel has as a whole, which you will also find on their current series of Watchmen action figures as well. And while I understand peoples problem with this, for me it is a non issue as I have seen this in many of my favorite figure lines for the last 20 years. Another problem people have with the Batman and Robin 2 pack was the very big and very obvious licensing agreement tag under Batman's cape which is not an issue with this single figure release. The articulation for this figure is great (I cannot speak to all the specifics as I keep all my figures blistered to their card) and looks to be on par with most of the figures Mattel has been releasing for the last year. The base the figure comes with looks cool, and though I am a bit bummed that this figure comes with no accessories, it doesn't effect my overall score for the figure as I can't recall any real accessories other than an occasional batarang. And let's face it, the best accessory Batman had in the '66 show was his car, the Batmobile. The paint apps are decent as a whole. The bat symbol on Batman's chest is clean and accurate as well as his mask. There are the same bleeding issues and misaligned applications just as there was with the Batman and Robin 2 pack, mainly around the boots and gloves. This figure is a solid B+. There are some issues, the card is a bit too big, lack of accessories, the paint apps can be sloppy. Some also may complain that the head sculpt doesn't look exactly like Adam West in the inconic cowl. I think the sculpt is great, the paint is decent, the artiuclation looks plentiful, the bright colored packaging evokes the iconic look and feel of the show and that's really all I could ask for. I am not the hugest 1966 Batman TV show fan as many others are, those caliber fans may be slightly dissapointed. On the other hand, most fans of the show have been likely waiting 40 some odd years for a single action figure from this show. I for one have been waiting eagerly for this figure to be released and am in large part very pleased. For the price ($14.99) this figure is a must for any fan of the show and any completist fan of any and all Batman related action figures. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A nice figure, but just BTW-- Adam West's TV cape & cowl were PURPLE
The above observation is a small quibble, especially since there have been NO Adam West TV Show-inspired franchise products I've noticed that have been so accurate to the original source as to give Batman the purple mask & cape he sported in the original show.. With no authorized DVD set yet around, it's not surprising few if any fans remember this.. I didn't notice it myself until I saw until I saw one of those original master print bootleg copies you can find at comic cons. Again, this is a trivial thing to remark on, as the overall quality of the figure is exceptional, and the. midnight blue looks entirely appropriate. The spooky facial resemblance to Adam West makes this thing look like you'd find it at the souvenir shop at Madame Tussaud's wax museum. Only problem I had with the figure was that the arms & legs are just a shade skinnier than they should be, making the body look a bit like Alfred in disguise rather than the original Adam West Bruce Wayne... and painting "shadow tones" onto the grey tights is always gratuitous in a 3D figure that throws real shadows anyway.. Still, overall a very nice figure.

Batman Returns
After the problems with the rights for the 1966 Batman TV show were fixed, they finally released an action figure series. I have been waiting for a figure of this Batman for decades. Now I finally have one in my hands, and I'm unmistakably pleased (but not in a filthy way, just pleased). Before everything, as usual, ignore the first production picture and just go straight for the pictures of the figure in the box, or the customer images if you want to know what the figure really looks like. I'll give you a hint: it looks amazing. The detail is wonderful. Not only they perfectly captured the look of the series, but the figure has very good articulation too. And while it's almost invisible in the pictures, the utility belt has the classic bat emblem too.Like all the other ones in the series, it comes with a stand and a collectible card, with some artwork of Batman on the front and part of a Batcave wide image in the back, which is completed with the other cards. The figure is perfectly able to stand on its own, since the feet are large enough and the cape is thankfully made out of light fabric rather than heavy plastic.Like the other figures, this one has no accesories. Which is kind of a shame, since Batman had a lot of crazy gadgets in the old series. I'd have gladly paid double if the figure had come with a small can of Shark-Repelent spray. No matter. The figure on its own is a great accomplishment and it's very well crafted, so it's worth 5 stars.

Wonderful Tribute to the Batman TV Show!
I was 10 years old when the TV series first aired in Jan of 1966, so you can definitely consider me a true blue Bat Fan! When I received my Batman Classic TV Series Batman figure, I felt like I was ten again! What's not to absolutely love about this collector series? From the cool retro pop art blister pack design work, which includes a fantastic illustration of our Caped Crusaders Adam West and Burt Ward Caped in the Bat Climb action, to the well-detailed likeness of the famous costume of the figure itself. You can definitely see there was some great care behind designing this action figure! You can bet that my homework was always done before 7:30pm every Wednesday and Thursday night so that my parents would let us watch Batman ("In Color")! The Batman Collector Action Figure, as well as the entire figure series released this year is such a wonderful tribute to the show that many of us grew up watching, and still eagerly watch years and years later!
