I’ve been using Aquasanta for almost 15 years as I have changed from different types of faucets and kitchen sinks. I started off with her countertop and faucets have changed over the years that no longer works because it uses the old-fashioned adapters.I bought this version to install under my sink and tap right into the cold water line so that way I could have filtered water through the existing faucet.Note that when I installed horizontally using the brackets that come in the package, it did not work. Meaning that when I turned on the cold water with the cables going in and out the exact same way, as if I stood up the filter for some reason the water flow did not work.However, when I stood up the filter vertically, and the cable in and then the exit tube going back to the Cold-water line It worked without issue.Highly recommend this company and their products

(1) The template seems useless unless you mark accurate center holes and also include the extra length for a filter change. Put an “x” on the center?(2) my product installed with a 90 deg shut off valve. The fitting has a fixed end so the supply and return off the dual port adapter can hit the cabinet back wall and or drain line. It didn’t leak where I tightened down at - I feel I was lucky it lined up to install the hoses. Otherwise I’d need a small flex hose.My Purge was only minutes (could take up to 15min per manual)Overall easy to install - Time will tell.No leaks on a plumbing job so bonusWater flow is good.

So I gave this product a bad review before and I have to make it right. I figured out why there was low water pressure and it seem like the filter had to be adjusted in a weird way. But anyway I’m happy and grateful that I have great drinking water 👍🏼

I wanted to love this so much. We were "upgrading" from a Filtrete under-sink cartridge filter for our sink water to this one, on the promises of much improved filtering of bad things in our municipal water supply in Westhcester County NY. While this item was well packaged and a high quality item from an installation parts perspective, we were harshly dissapointed with the end product -- the actual taste of our water, which was metallic and undrinkable. In contrast, the wwater from our Filtrete filters, especially the Max version, was always excellent. We contacted the vendor and they sent us a replacement filter, but unfortunately the water tasted equally terrible. We are giving up and going back to the Filtrete max filter. All I can think of is that either there is some wierd chemical reaction between this filter and our water supply or maybe the plastic tubing that came with this filter was somehow contaminated. I will use the same tubing with the filtrete replacement I am going to set up, and then I guess I'll know for sure what the culprit was. Dissapointing.

I like the idea (there are a couple of other in-line undersink filters, but I picked aquasana because it seems like a large, well established brand.)However, I might need to look for another solution, s as this one has more problem than I like.Pros: installation is straightforward. The parts I received were solid and I didn't have any problems threading the various connectors.Cons, minor:If your cold water pressure and volume aren't great to being with, this will make it worse.Since this filters all cold water, it's kind of a waste when you used cold water for non-food uses.Major con:There is a design flaw in the filter head/housing that will reduce floor to a trickle. The head has an auto cutoff to shut the floor of the filter cartridge is twisted and removed. The cartridge is installed or removed with a 1/4 turn rotation left or right. When you put in the new cartridge, one is supposed to twist it all the way to the right until it stops--it hits the lock, when u did this with a replacement filter, the water flowed well for a few days then suddenly reduced to a trickle. I thought it was my pipes clogging. I flushed all pipes, but that didn't help.I suspected it was the new filter, so I thought I'd have to get a replacement.But as I was twisting the cartridge to remove it, the water flow suddenly improved. I had forgotten to turn off the water and faucet.On closer inspection, I determined that when the cartridge is turned all the way to the stop, the floor is restricted, but if I unscrewed it a little bit, the floor improved.There is something about the auto shut off valve and the head that doesn't work properly.I'm still wondering if, in this half way locked position, if the filtration is complete, or if there and chance I'm getting a mix of filter and unfiltered water.I haven't had a chance to ask the company, but I'm thinking that my question out complaint will never get to the engineers for a real answer.

Where I live, my water is foul and smells of a decaying bog, despite looking relatively clean but in no way would my tap water be something I trust as is.This filter removed the smells, and so far as my instruments can detect, purified the water as advertised. The filter is rather expensive and quite the investment (I literally could not afford to pay a single dollar more and would have to find an alternative if they raised the fee,) but it's otherwise made my life less stressful and made cooking a safe routine again.
