The absolute best possible investment for your Sega Genesis/Megadrive
If you have a Sega Genesis and are looking to get the most out of it, you need a Mega Everdrive Pro. At about $200 at the time of this writing, it's no small investment, but if emulation just isn't authentic enough, and you're looking to play your old favorites on original hardware, this is the way to go.I have my Genesis model 1 plugged in to a massive beast of a 32" Sony Trinitron CRT utilizing the stereo audio output. Every Genesis game runs wonderfully, and the crunch FM synth audio sounds awesome. I was surprised to discover that there is an FPGA for the Sega Master System FM audio addon, so many Master System games I tried sound better than I remember as well. The real reason I got this is for Sega CD support, minus the Sega CD addon which are notoriously expensive and unreliable. This Everdrive supports EXFAT, so I plugged in a 128GB micro SD card which happily fits all the CD images I want, comfortably next to my Genesis and Master System games. I've had no issues running any Sega CD game I've thrown at it so far, with 1-2 second loading times.Unlike my old Mega Everdrive x3, this one supports big, modern releases like Pier Solar, which is a massive 64 meg rom. It also allows for MSU type rom hacks, allowing for Sega CD like soundtracks and FMVs plugged into ordinary Sega Genesis games. One final feature I haven't tested is NES game support. This thing technically supports original NES games through FPGA emulation, but it won't run every NES game. I personally have an original NES with an Everdrive for it, so I don't see myself using this feature, but it's cool that it's there anyway. The competition, the MegaSD is equally capable, so you can't really go wrong either way. For me though, the Everdrive has that classic Genesis cartridge look, so it's my personal preference.

So worth the price!!
I have waited a long time before buying a single multi cart for any of my consoles, just to wait for advancements for these kinds of products. I’m actually happy to say that I am glad this was my first. This little cartridge worked like a charm in my Genesis and blew me away with it’s quality. Probably the most exciting feature, the Sega CD support was certainly well worth the price. The menus are fast, and are easy to navigate. Save states are a modern quality of life feature that is always welcome on a retro console! The fact that I can access the menu immediately during a game is amazing.I will definitely buy more multi carts for my retro consoles from Everdrive.

There is No Better Flashcart for the Sega Genesis than the Mega EverDrive Pro, Period
This Sega Genesis/Mega Drive flashcart, with all of its post-launch updates, has become the best one in the market. It plays every Genesis, Master System, and Sega CD game I've thrown at it with no issues or crashes. Save states work great, and you get 100 of them per game (except Sega CD, which cannot use save states at this time). Sega CD games work without owning a unit due to it utilizing FPGA hardware, while Sega 32X games also work without a hitch as long as you have the original hardware. You can also use themes for the menu, which help personalize your experience. I'm enjoying so much of the library that is inaccessible to me now due to carts now costing an arm and a leg, such as Castlevania Bloodlines, which I beat and enjoyed immensely with no issues. Along with this operating on original hardware, this also works on the Anlogue Mega SG with zero problems. Overall, this is a must have item for every Genesis owner!

The Genesis' SD2SNES Equivalent
This is THE flash cart to get if you have a Genesis. Sega CD compatibility alone makes this worth the asking price. It sucks you have to remove your 32X to play Sega CD games but other than that this is a no-brainer if your Sega CD unit's broken or you'd rather not shell out for the more expensive MegaSD.

Last Genesis Cart You'll Ever Need
If you have a Sega Genesis, you must have this. On top of playing Genesis cart games, the Pro let's you play Sega CD games too without the CD player. Can't comment on 32X compatibility, other than you need a 32X to play those games (I don't have one).
