These antennas work well and last a couple years, but the issue I have with them are the set screws for the whip. It’s like the allen wrench that comes with it doesn’t fit very well and it strips the head out if you over tighten. (It doesn’t take much) but if you don’t tighten the set screws enough, you’ll end up losing the screws and the whip.

I bought two of these antennas. They’re great. I’m a truck driver awesome price and a truckstop. They probably cost $20 more.

These were installed on our semi truck and they are the only antenna we have ever used each time we purchase a vehicle requiring them. Only thing we recommend is to periodically check the tiny screw that holds the whip in place as we have had it fall out and then the whip eventually goes missing. Just like anything else screws can vibrate out of position so regular checking will help you to not lose it.
