I’ve been a firefighter for 10 years or so. I bought these about six months ago to keep one in my truck after being first on scene to a rollover while I was driving on the interstate, and having nothing to break a back window to access the passenger compartment but a piece of angle iron I found on the side of the road. Fast forward to today. Literally watched a rollover happen in my rear view mirror. After turning around, I made it to the rolled pickup truck (on it’s side), with someone trapped inside and not responsive. Ran back to my truck, grabbed it, and was able to smash the sunroof with ease (the sliding cover was over it so no glass got onto the person inside). The seatbelt cutter sliced the seatbelt like butter. Unfortunately the dash had rolled onto the person’s legs so we couldn’t get them out, but fire dept showed up shortly after and took over. Look, these things are inexpensive, can help you if you’re trapped inside your vehicle, and help you if someone is trapped in theirs. Understand how to use them, be sure to watch some videos, but these are a must have for your vehicle. Now that I’ve used it, I can say they work exactly as advertised. A good product!

I tested its cutting ability on an extra waist belt made of seat belt material. It takes a bit to get the cut going but after that initial cut, it shreds the seat belta super fast. I bet if you were in a life or death situation jacked full of adrenaline, cutting a seat belt is no issue. Another reviewer posted it cracking a windshield, and it looks like it will take a few hits to shatter auto glass. Maybe with enough for glass will shatter with one adrenaline boosted strike. I did take it apart and the metal glass striker is one solid piece of metal. However, the seat belt cutter looks like a segment of those snap blades. If you want to upgrade with a name brand blade, you can. I will change out the blade to a serrated edge, although the stock blade cuts just as well. lightly oil the blade before you leave it in your car, helps prevent the blade from rusting and maintain a super sharp wdge when you need it.

Really great to have in your car as a just in-case item and very cheap. I just keep it in my side panel on my driver side all the time.

Handle should be about 3 inches longer but other than that it’s essential to have one of these in every vehicle. Even if you’re the world most PERFECT DRIVER (🙄) and will NEVER have an accident, you should keep them for the next sorry sod who might need someone who has one. It’s as valuable as a first aid kit. Every vehicle should come with one.

I was watching the local news, and they were demonstrating what to do in case of an emergency in your car. They had one of these devices. They showed that if you were in a car accident and you couldn't get out of the car how it can break the window and you can get out to safety. It showed that if you were trapped in your seatbelt how it has a blade that will automatically slice through the seat belt and free you so you can get out of the car. They even had the bravest woman in history drive the car into the water and showed how she used this device to cut herself out of the seat belt and then break out the window and then push yourself out through the window to safety and swim out. I automatically ordered one for each of our family cars and gave them as Christmas presents as well. After watching that demonstration on the news, they convinced me, everyone needs to have multiple ones in their car. I put one in the pocket on each door.

Got these along with their larger version in a combo pack. That thing is a monster but these should get the job done quite well in the unfortunate event you’d need them. I’ve had window breakers before but these are by far the nicest. Nice that they come with a mount .. wish their big brother did but it doesn’t

These car window breakers are small but feel solid and well made. I keep one in the glove box and another clipped near the driver’s seat — both the cutter and punch work smoothly in tests. It’s lightweight, easy to grab in an emergency, and gives real peace of mind knowing it’s there if needed.

For the price is a good buy and you get 2 of them. I tried the cutting blade and works great. Obviously haven’t used the glass braking part but a good emergency tool to keep in the car. Only minor negative is that the tool holder case comes with screws….I don’t think anyone is going to screw it on the car internal panel ?? No big deal as I just keep it in the central storage compartment.

Product looks and has a sturdy build. Haven't used yet but hopefully wont need to. Will have just in case of emergency. Well built and good quality for the cost.
