PLASTIC CHROME TRIM - GREAT JOB
I bought a used Ford F150 truck with chrome bumpers. Problem: the rubber trim on the front bumper was missing, leaving a series of ugly holes. I ordered this trim, as it is 3/4" wide and would cover the holes. I scrubbed the bumper with soap and water then took paint thinner to it to make sure there was no old wax etc. to stop the stick. With the backing tape still on, I measured what I needed of the (plastic) chrome tape, cut it off at each end on an angle to match the bumper, and peeled it a foot or so at a time as I stuck it down. I needed a small realignment in the middle, and was able to pull it back and redo. It went down nicely, and then I went back and carefully pressed it in place, using fingers, then pressing with the slippery backing paper to make sure and not scratch the plastic "chrome". I did this several times over the first few hours, and again after it had been on overnight. Bottom line - looks great. It appears to be part of the original chrome bumper and it remains thoroughly stuck down. I've had it on for a few months now, and have had it through the car wash a few times. No issues. We'll see how it looks after a couple of years (how does "plastic chrome" handle the sun?), but so far so good. One note: it's $20 for 12 feet, so be sure to measure what you need before you order. The price can add up pretty quickly. That said, it would make good anti-parking-lot-ding protection. UPDATE more than a year later. My truck is parked outside and gets the full blast of the Arizona sun every day. The trim is still looks excellent. Recommended!

Wow, a big money saver and EASY!
Great product. When I pulled my fender off of my 2016 Indian Chief Darkhorse motorcycle to do a brake job, I bunged up the original chrome strip badly because I was not paying attention. Looked real bad. I looked at dealer prices for replacement and ... No way. I would go without and just keep my embarrassing dumb*** mistake exposed at that price. BUT THEN, I found this 3/4 inch chrome strip here on Amazon so, I gave it a shot. I pulled off the damaged strip, rolled the remaining adhesive off pushing with my thumb, cleaned with 91% isopropyl and proceeded to stick this stuff on. I started at front, removing back of tape as I proceeded. It did not wrinkle around curves. The 3M adhesive stuck instantly like well, glue! I cut the ends off with a sharp knife using edge of fender as a guide. I did not even remove fender. Whole job less than 15 minutes! DONE. I am very happy and I have enough left to probably do other side and rear too! Looks exactly like the OEM strip! I'll update with longevity after another 30,000 miles or a year, whichever comes first! Happy and going for a ride!

Excellent molding product.
I had none of the problems listed in other reviews for this product. The 3M tape adheres very well- such that you need to follow the directions carefully and not press it firmly in place before you are satisfied with the position. A tape line or other markers are strongly recommended. Be sure not to touch the sticky surface or the adhesion of the area touched will be diminished. The length advertised (12') was exceeded by the product received. It was actually 12' 9" in length. The product is nicely contoured to prevent side damage as when in a parking lot. It has a strong scratch resistant surface with a nice gloss that matches the cars paint (black) very well. The surface was blemish free in both rolls. A good sharp cutter is needed to cut the sections to proper size as the product has a firm density and is much thicker than the import brands.

Great Way To Customize Anything!
I have been using Cowles Custom Chrome Trim for years. The quality of the Chrome and Adhesive is great. The trim is flexible up to a curtain point or you will crack the Chrome finish. Installation was easy. Measure three time, and apply once. Great DIY for cars and motorcycles. I just customized my Black Matte finish 2016 Honda NM4 in Chrome.

Excellent product
This is an excellent product. After 25 years, the chrome molding on my 2002 Tahoe was looking a bit rough, so I bought this to replace it. It was a super easy installation. Just cut it to length, clean the surface, and place it where you want it.

So far so good.
Make sure your car is nice and clean. Unroll it and let it sit in the sun, or put weights on the ends over night to get it nice and flat. I wiped down the car with isopropyl alcohol where the trim would be then used window cleaner to give it the best chance to adhere to the paint. I also bought a small roll of 3m trim tape for the ends of the trim since the factory strips are only on the top and bottom. I used magnets (pictured) to help line up the trim on the car so it came out as straight as possible then peeled back the adhesive covers as I went instead of taking all of it off and fighting it. It's been on the car for a week so far and no issues. I used a white paint pen to transfer the factory shape to the new trim, then cut it out with utility scissors, a Dremel tool, and a hobby knife set to carefully get the final shape. I then used the isopropyl alcohol to clean off the white paint pen marks before putting it on the car.

Great looking chrome! Not so great adhesive…
The chrome itself looks really good. It looks like a factory style chrome that the vehicle would’ve come with. My only complaint is that the adhesive itself can’t withstand temperatures here in South Texas apparently. Even after prepping the surface correctly, make sure everything was clean. Make sure it’s taped down since it was curved towards the end of the chrome run, It only held up on that curve for about a week and a half then again this is Texas it gets over 100° so maybe the temperature is a factor but now I have to figure out how I’m gonna re-tack those corners down the actual straight run is fine. Makes me wonder what the difference between this and the ones from Temu or AliExpress are, I went with this, since it was namebrand.

Excellent quality for the price. Used this chrome trim to replace some damaged trim on an older SUV.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! Amazing product! I just finished using it to cover some ripped rubber on the bottom of my car windows. Actually, I was going to put it around the tire part (as shown) but changed my mind. You have to be careful as it adheres very quickly. However, it can be removed with a little effort. I cannot wait to purchase more. It looks shiny and provides great coverage.
