Very easy to assemble. There’s no hardware, it all just clicks together. When it’s extended all the way, the rails sag a little, but that’s to be expected. It holds a good number of shoes when it’s fully extended which is great, and it fits perfectly in my closet.

Pretty easy to go together, although some of the bars needed to be tapped into place, even being careful to line up as discribed in instructions. Stacked a second 2 "shelf" unit on this, easily. Looks sturdy enough, may have to add a brace to wall, will see, it is in a closet so no trafficc to bump it. Holds way more shoes then I thought and since it is addjustable, fits perfectly in my space. Good low cost solution to corral our shoes, slippers, and sandals

Works so far for shoes and boots Pros: -adjustable width is awesome -i removed the bottom rung, using the floor as a layer for boots ( i did not want to put boots or heavy items on the top rung since it was a bit wobbly to begin with). I have 4 pairs of hiking boots on the Floor, 4 pairs of shoes on the 2nd rung (since the 1st rung was removed on purpose), 4 pairs of sandals on the 3rd rung , and 3 shoes with a big box of toddler shoes on the 4th rung. A bit wobbly but sturdy enough. -looks elegant enough for a shoe rack -lightweight and easily moveable Cons: -there is a very subtle line on the black surface of the ends of the crossbars. It is hard to see unless you have enough lighting. I assembled this with limited lighting at night and didn't see those lines that you need to make vertical in order to fit the crossbars into the side support. -NOTE: YOU ROTATE ONE END OF THE CROSSBAR SO THAT THE LINE IS VERTICAL AND THEN USE YOUR BODY WEIGHT TO PUSH THE CROSSBAR DOWN INTO ONE SIDE SUPPORT. Then, YOU HAVE TO ROTATE THE OTHER END OF THE CROSSBAR SO THAT THE LINE ON THIS SIDE IS VERTICAL BEFORE USING YOUR BODY WEIGHT TO PUSH DOWN THIS SIDE OF THE CROSSBAR INTO THE OTHER SIDE SUPPORT —-Both ends of the crossbar rotate Independently of each other (just because the line on one side is vertical does not mean the other line on the other side is vertical.) THEREFORE the trick is to do one side at a time. -it seems excessive to use your body weight to snap the crossbars into the side support (assuming you aligned the guides in the vertical position) -i wish there was a lock to prevent the crossbars from extending or contracting after you have set its width.

This rack fit my closet exactly, being expandable, and it's sturdy enough for everything I've put on it. The shoes are easy to see on the rack, and there's good air circulation around them. It's exactly as described: Lightweight and easy to assemble, even with the minimal instructions. However, the rigid plastic ends of the rods had to be very carefully aligned and tapped into place; that was the hard part. It took a little patience and some care, not too much force, and thankfully nothing broke. I'm very happy with this rack; it has made a huge difference to my shoe storage situation. I can easily recommend this.

The rack is very lightweight, and the adjustable poles slide very easily to adjust the width. However, the plastic end caps are very flimsy and very difficult to push onto the metal side pieces. They must be oriented correctly to push onto the metal sides, but the markings are barely visible. While pushing the 3rd bar into place, the end cap split. We were not using excessive force—just thumbs to push into place. Retiring it for another rack was too much hassle, so we duct taped that bar into place (the cap broke so unevenly that even super glue would not hold it back together). If it had assembled properly, I would have given it 5 stars.

The shoe racks are very easy to assemble & very sturdy. The width adjustment is a great idea. I set my husband up with 2 of these shoe racks. He was able to fit 12 + pairs of shoes on each rack. More shoes could fit with the rack if you use the floor as the 3rd shelf. The racks were set up one in front of the other which allowed us to use more closet space. I would highly recommend this shoe rack.

Wouldn't allow me to upload photo. I bought two of these as they looked just like ones I bought a while ago at target. The quality of these are horrible compared to Targets. The ones from Target had end caps that screwed into the pole/rack. This unit has a plastic tab that you have to struggle to make fit. One of these tabs was completely broken off! I realized it when I was almost done with the unit. So there is one pole/rack that is NOT secured.

I bought this to give me shoe storage inside of a narrow cabinet and it fit perfectly. It’s hard to find a shoe rack that is this size - both narrow and not deep. Super functional and solid quality. Will buy again.
