These magnets are just great. My 1 year old loves them. They stick well enough, but not so hard that little hands can't get them off. I agree with other reviewer that the walrus head is a tad small. I keep it up high so she can't get it. Otherwise they are the perfect size. They are sturdy and well made, and come with a nice box. Would make a great gift for anyone with a toddler.

My 10-month-old baby is really into playing with the magnets we have on the fridge, so I wanted to find him some of his own that would be safe(ish). I did a bunch of research to find magnets that (1) had a full-back sheet magnet (not a small glued-on round/square magnet that could fall off and be a choking risk) and (2) seemed to be durable enough to withstand chewing/drool (so anything made of cardboard, foam, or had a sticker was out). From what I could tell, these were some of the only ones that fit the bill. The actual magnets are very large (no way the baby could swallow them) and none have seemed to begin separating from the wood. The image is painted onto the wood, not a sticker or laminate, and they’ve withstood chewing for the most part. A few have chipped or had pieces of the top layer of wood (with the image) break off, so I would still recommend the baby always be supervised when playing with them (which should be a rule of thumb, anyway). But my kiddo is really into them, I like the art design, and the images are cute; once he understands the animal pictures I think he’ll also enjoy mixing and matching them so they should be fun for a while. They were expensive but overall I’m happy with the purchase.

I love DJECO products and this one did not disappoint. I wanted to get some fun magnets for my 2.5 year old boy. I love that this requires a little more thinking in that the pieces are in two parts and he has to match the correct heads to the legs of the animals! We have a stainless steel fridge and magnets don't stick to it, so I bought a magnetic tabletop easel that fold easily for storage (excellent idea!) and now we keep the magnets in their box and the magnetic board folded up and when he wants to play with those he just goes to where they are stored. It is such a fun game! We end up mixing and matching the different parts and my boy has so much fun!! We easily spend half an hour with just this toy. The pieces are sturdy and good quality. We love this toy!! Tiny bit overpriced for magnets but they are different... I haven't been able to find magnets that come in two pieces anywhere else, so it was worth it!

These are perfect for little hands to entertain themselves at the fridge. My only caution if you have a metal fridge it will scratch it while they are playing. I love the ease of putting them back into the box and the box is magnetized so it closes well and it's easy for little ones to open if you had them the box. They are light weight but thick and large enough pieces that there is no choking hazard.

Most, meaning all but one piece, are large, approx 2 inches wide wooden pieces, the paint is durable. Our 15 month old who tries to put everything in her mouth, was not able to get any paint or piece of wood chip in her mouth. The edges of these magnets are very smooth and sanded down to eliminate any grainy feeling. The magnetic back looks like a very thin film that is securely sealed to the back. The only small piece that we were afraid of to cause potential chocking, we hid it from the baby, it is the walrus's head. There are 8 animals, including Cow, alligator, giraffe, frog, goat, walrus and tiger (I know I am missing one) Our baby, who is still trying to speak, was able to quickly identify a couple of animals and play sound associations with them. These are a good distraction for the baby when you are working in the kitchen and they need to be away from the stove. She plays with these regularly, even when not making these stick on the fridge! We are happy with this purchase.

These magnets are great quality and adorable. But so far, I'm more in love with these than my 14 month old. I hope she grows into them because they will last a long time and be on the fridge for a while. Other kids that visit our house loves these. So I am hopeful that she is just too young for them right now. Also, these magnets come in a really nice box so they make excellent gifts. The lid on the box has magnetic closure. It's so nice, I can't get myself to throw it away!

I am so happy with this purchase. I looked far and wide for a magnet set for my little one, because I wanted it to be engaging but also durable. He has put these in his mouth A LOT and they are so durable, no fears about splinters or little pieces. The magnet and wood are VERY solidly attached. A couple of his favorites have gotten a little worn-looking on the picture surface, but I'm not surprised, because he has chomped on them a lot! He's over a year now and still enjoys them, and I imagine they'll continue to grow with him as he gets old enough to understand how to mix and match the bodies. Cute, sturdy, VERY well-crafted. These are worth paying a bit more than other sets that will fall apart - definitely a good deal for the price!

My 15 month old was constantly trying to get at our magnets, so this set seemed perfect! Much of our kitchen cabinetry is metal and my kiddo has a great time placing these all over the place. I was impressed with the quality, and they come in a nice storage box. I learned quickly that putting all of the magnets out for a 1 year old results in a big mess. Keep in mind that each animal is actually 2 pieces. I now only put out 3-4 animals at a time and switch them out every few weeks to keep her interested. She enjoys learning their names and making the appropriate animal sounds to go with them.

Qualité Djéco appréciable (conception et matériau). les pièces magnétiques sont agréables et confortables pour la manipulation. Ce jeu de qualité me semble très adapté à un enfant à partir de 3 ans, très favorable à sa créativité (différent du puzzle à forme imposée) et développant son habileté. Les plus grands l'utilisent aussi avec grand plaisir. Le prix assez élevé ne favorise pas un achat fréquent.
