Sword Art Online 6: Phantom Bullet

Another Great Book!
This is the sixth book in the main series of "Sword Art Online", and the second book of the "Phantom Bullet" arc. Some of the author's statements regarding firearms in the book are incorrect, but that does not detract from the story. As always, Kawahara-sensei's writing is superb, ditto for abec's illustrations. I highly recommend this book to fans of the "Sword Art Online" anime.

SAO Is My Darling, Fight Me
Sinon is who I love, although Kirito is a close second. Really missed getting to hang out with Asuna in these pages, though. Reki Kawahara still struggles with the sexist aspects of his writing, but I have to give him props for Sinon's journey to working on her mental health. Some people might thing Kirito fits the "Magic P****" trope, but I think Sinon more connected with the fact that he, too, had killed and struggled with that fact. Progressive is still my favorite of the Lite Novels but I love the Gun Gale Arc, especially seeing Sinon begin to recover.

Excellent arc conclusion!
This volume solidly finished the GGO arc, had excellent character development for Kirito and Sinon, and even raised interesting philosophical questions, as the series is wont to do.

Great conclusion to the GGO part of m/
I was excited reading this the whole way through. I like all the philosophical considerations of technology, especially online games and VR tech. A lot of this is reall relevant for now and the near future.

Phantom Bullet ends ends a bang!
Sword art online (SAO) phantom bullet is in my opinion the best arc in the highly well know series. Both this book and number 5, adds a dark layer to what is quite a wonky series at times. This book starts close to the start of the bullet of bullet tournament or BOB for short and thrusts our heroes the flamboyant and cheeky swordsman Kirito and the ice sniper Sinon into a situation of life and death in thr virtual world of Gun Gale Online. Watchers of the series will appreciate the detail and inside feel of the books. Giving you a much bigger inside to each character. Sinon is by far the best character in the series showing great development throughout which is a big step up from Asuna and Leafa of the previous novels. The mystery behind the killings of Death Gun come to light here and it is an intense read. Well worth the money for fans of series and people with an intrest in mystery and gaming. If you haven't read SAO or watched the series I would highly recommend this and book 5 which begins this arc. It cuts out most of the despised romance elements and focuses more on character, action and mystery. A fine read and a great addition to the SAO libaray.

Decent ending to Gun Gal
Gun Gal is always a tricky one, most people dislike either the book or the anime. Story wise, it is a solid read, but for those of you who want more sword fights and leveling up, this one and volume 5 is not for you, although Sinon is a very important character through the series.

SAO vol 6
Entering the Bullet of Bullets tournament with the sniper Sinon, Kirito feverishly hunts down Death Gun to stop him from killing more victims. In order to do so, he’ll have to confront his lingering guilt from his time trapped in Sword Art Online.
