AB Tools Heavy Duty Hedge Shears/Trimmers Garden Shrub Grass Topiary Trimmer

Bought these on the back of numerous positive reviews. Set about tackling our hedge - a mature laurel, and although the shears snipped through all the small stuff they are by no means 'heavy duty'.Couldn't cut stems of 6/7/8mm in diameter. This led to me applying more force - and in turn eventually the shears bent at the join so the blades no longer met when closed!Not a lot of money wasted, but wasted all the same.Off to buy some 'heavy duty shears' now.....

These hedge shears work great! They are lightweight, but obviously your arms ache a bit after holding these up for awhile - it's no fault of the shears themselves. They cut like a dream. I've used them a few times now and haven't noticed them working any differently. If you're looking for hedge shears these should prove useful - they're also extendable which has been a big help.

There are some areas of my front and back garden that I need garden shears to cut the grass in difficult to reach areas for a mower/strimmer. These did the job perfectly and they had a good test on the first run, I was using them solid for about an hour and a half. No issues with them cutting the grass at all and it was bunched thickly in places and they coped very well.They are not heavyweight, which is a bonus, but not too lightweight that you would doubt the quality. Having issues with painful and stiff hands occasionally, these were perfect, not heavy, easy to use for a prolonged time.I am more than happy with these and for a very reasonable price, what more could you ask for!

These shears are easy to use. They are reasonably light even for short women in their 60s, like me! They cut very well and I actually prefer them to the electric ones I’ve had previously.

Slightly heavier than expected, but easy to use and does a good job. Pleased with purchase and good value for the price paid.

Looked good nice packaging yet tried to cut overgrown little bushes with thin stems in garden trying to come through window. Well I tried and tried. Although these are very lightweight I thought it would be a breeze. Couldn’t use do to my arthritis.Friend came and took her a few minutes worked a treat. So not sellers fault. At least I know they work. 5 stars because they do work.

The reason I haven't given it five stars is because I haven't done a lot with them I have clipped two small bushes and they are very good if they keep it up I would give them five stars, time will tell but for now I'm very pleased

The shears are reasonably lightweight and very sharp and really good value for the money. I used them yesterday for the first and very impressed. The only negative, I think they could do with being a bit more angled as the shears are almost too straight I had to stand sideways on to the hedge. They are good shears and I would definitely recommend them. ( I've been using my Grandads old shears for 30years and probably so used to that angle.
