Fantastic radio player, this is how radio's should be made!!!
The media could not be loaded. So many great and wonderful stations are internet radio stations now and this radio picks up pretty much all of them from around the world, give and take maybe a couple which is probably down to how the stations are set up though pretty much everything you search for comes up and it's brilliant!!Listening to Epic Radio, Neon Radio etc. which are fantastic stations, specially if you check out DJ Illusion's Flashback Show which is one of the most unique shows I have ever heard with all the great artists and even some you don't hear so often but miss on the radio, it's good. He plays exclusive megamixes of artists, using soundbites from various movies and TV shows from back in the day within the mixes and during the drops whether it's Beavis and Butt-Head or Asterix the Gaul or movies such as Lock Stock and all the greats you'll recognise it's so unique and the fact he has drops from Shalamar, Matt Goss, Dee Tails from MN8, Leee John from Imagination and more who have all recorded these for his show, it's pretty awesome but this goes to show how these radio stations are incredible as opposed to the regular stations you hear on the FM radio's which play the same songs and same artists constantly. You'll never go back to these stations once you discover all the fantastic radio station's which are out there, as this radio player picks up.The sound quality is fantastic too! I've not even had it full blast because it's loud enough at half way haha and the quality is good too. It's so easy to connect and set up, takes two minutes and is very intuitive. The player saves the stations you have recently listened to making it easy to switch between the radio stations as opposed to having to search the station again with the dial which is how you search using the text however you can also search by genre, country, city, so many ways and discover stations that way also. The radio has a lovely display which showcases the logo of stations you are listening to really nicely on the front, you can see the info about the station which gives you a bit of back story on where the station is based, how it's set up etc. on the display or you can change it to just display the city the station is from. The clock is on there as well which is nicely small above and doesn't need to be updated. This really is how all radio's should be made as eventually I'm sure this feature is going to be built in to all radio players meaning people don't have to stick to the regular stations we hear all the time (which is the same stuff constantly) and when you have all these hidden gems and stations it's wonderful, which soon as people discover these they're just going to grow more and more and are wonderful stations to have on constantly in your kitchen or wherever you have the radio on in the background, as well as of course traveling in cars and things, you're going to enjoy all these stations so much more once you discover your favourite ones and you'll never look back. It's quite a turning point really and is going to be fantastic for these stations as well, giving them the chance to grow and compete with the stations which most people are tired of hearing now and it's slowly but surely going to take over because people will discover all these wonderful stations with the wonderful DJ's and they're honestly brilliant!!Internet radio built in should be standard now and it's only a matter of time until it's how all radio players are made. This radio is truly fantastic, great quality, looks nice, works well and I recommend it to everyone who wants a new radio for their home.So happy with this purchase. Everyone should have one of these radio players, seriously ...I hope this has helped a few people who may want to buy a new radio player but are trying to find which one to go for.

Pros and cons after a week's usage - updated after 18 months of use and updated again
I have given this a general ration of 4 stars because there are some features that I have not tested yet and some elements which I feel could be improved, and my thoughts and observations are outlined below.I have had my internet radio now for a week or so, long enough to give it a run-in I think.Generally, I am quite happy with it. The set up was not that bad, though "Skip WPS" was not an obvious option for manually entering my wi-fi code. Once connected, the wi-fi reconnects without problem when the radio is turned on. Comments have been made about having to accept the privacy notice (or whatever it is) at the end the set-up process by going online, but just pressing the "back" button cleared this and allowed the set-up process to be completed. What I wanted was a portable radio, ideally with an inbuilt battery or least using batteries and so this is fine. The plus sides of the radio are its portability, obviously, but also the quality of the speaker. I have not tried music stations but it is easily good enough for spoken word. I was tempted by another brand, but felt that the buttons on this appeared to be more substantial and easy to use. There are, of course, gripes. First of all, when using the scroll wheel to enter text, it is pain having to scroll through about 4 lists just to get to the OK and backspace options; conversely, when entering my wi-fi password, the spacing of the letters on screen was wider than normal, making it much easier to read the password and check it was correct before entering it.Gripe number two is, I suspect, a software issue but may be down to the portal being used for internet stations. When using DAB, as well as the station name and logo, details of the programme being played are displayed along with any other messages like "coming next", which is great for changing stations to avoid something or finding out what you have been listening to without knowing its name. You do not get this on the internet radio settings. The "info" button does give some extra information, but nothing which is really useful in this respect.Gripe 3 is again probably down to the portal and not the radio as I have had the same issue with my other radios. In the "Country / Category" listings, there is no menu for "comedy", so I had to search manually for my favourite stations (PumpkinFM and Rokit). A neat thing, though, is that when I found the first of these, a sub-menu did come up on screen with the other stations in these two groups, so there was no need to go back to the main list and search again.Gripe 4 probably is the most significant of the lot. I have been running this on four AA batteries for a few days, a couple of hours a day, until yesterday when I had it on solidly for about five hours. During this time, the battery indicator fell from three bars to two, which made sense, but within minutes this had gone down to one bar and then in next to no time to a "low battery" warning message, so the conclusion is that the battery status indicator is not overly reliable or believable. So, taking into consideration the postive and not so positive elements, what is my general feeling? For the money, quite a decent product but there are some refinements that could me made to make it even better. Stage two is the durability, but that will take several months if not longer to establish.------Since writing the original review I have had no real issues with the radio, save for those mentioned, until tonight when, for no apparent reason, all my stored internet stations came up as being unreachable (which they are via another radio that I own) and even the station list would not display. This was after various power downs and restarts (I have resisted a full factory reset and resetting of the modem as no other device in the house is affected by this it seems) and changing the channel on the modem manually from 5g to 2.4g. The software checker tells me that the software is up to date, so this should not be an issue. So, support have been contacted....=====updated 3rd. January 2025Support came back and suggested a factory reset and sending a video of the fault. Fortunately, after powering down the unit entirely for several hours and leaving it off it has come back to life and is working properly again now, but with no good or apparent reason for going off line like it did. Let's hope that this is just a glitch which does not repeat itself....

Small & portable, DAB internet radio
This radio is portable and I like the compactness of it, it has a built in speaker which is decent portable sound, no bass or treble controls or presets, has 3.5mm audio out, Bluetooth, takes 4 AA Batteries, uses micro USB power connection, don't push in the USB too hard as it could break the connection in the unit, saying that its not too flimsy either. You just need to know when you plug the USB in it may not click and it sticks out a bit hence why you may think it's not actually in, but it is.Radio has Internet, FM and DAB, I use the net connection more as the DAB signal is weak in my area, there is FM signal but not the greatest. Easy to use, there is not a remote control unit (would of been handy!)- See supplied pics -Can store 20 presets per input, meaning 20 on DAB, 20 on FM and 20 on Internet.Radio updates once you connect it to your WiFi upon 1st time power up, follow on screen prompts. Will check for App to connect as a previous Amazon buyer stated, I haven't used batteries yet or checked if rechargeable batts can be used and charged by the USB on this unit?Overal very decent unit. I have it connected via audio out to external hi-fi unit. All good so far.
