ALTERNA BAMBOO Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner, 8.5 fl oz

Alterna Anti-Frizz Conditioner made my hair VERY smooth and slick. The texture became very "silky". However, if you have "fine" hair like I do, this may not be a good thing. Why?? When "fine" hair becomes too silky, altho' it feels good, it tends to look "stringy". However, .... if you have thick, unruly, wiry, frizzy hair, then I can assure you, your hair will become well-tamed and "de-frizzed" after using this product. BTW, if you have any CURL in your hair, this product will straighten your hair. Not only was my hair silky, but it became bone straight. Ne'er a wave in sight. I walked my dog while it was "drizzling" outside, and when I returned home, my hair looked the same = silky AND straight. No frizz whatsoever. If that's what you want, you'll get it!

This shampoo smells fantastic, and I also like the twist top lid which is easy to open. I read a few reviews before purchasing that said this shampoo weighs your hair down, and it does. I have very coarse, thick, frizzy, straight hair. I have it thinned every six weeks and it's still incredibly thick, so this shampoo actually does me a huge favor by weighing my hair down and keeping it from being so poofy. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with fine hair, because it is very heavy. When I first used this shampoo the texture surprised me because it was so thick. After I rinsed my hair it felt like I had washed it with dish detergent which had me VERY worried, BUT when I brushed it and styled it, it was so silky and soft! Well worth the money.

Underwhelming as hell. What even is this price for this conditioner? If it makes you feel better this is 5% better than the Alterna Anti-frizz Shampoo it's paired with. And the overall improvement on my hair (when using the shampoo and conditioner set) still scores a very unfortunate 5 out of 100 to me.Limp af. Go spend your money on coconut oil, or if you're allergic to that, use beer. I heard that does wonders for your hair because of the hops in it. Or if you're steering away from alcohol, literally the natural oils in your hair will condition your locks better than this DAMNED CONDITIONER.

This conditioner makes my relaxed hair so straight that it can't even hold a curl made with the curling/flat iron for more than a day. I guess it's good if you have really frizzy hair and want bone straight styles, but if you just want something to smooth your hair without impacting its ability to hold curls, you'd probably want to look for something else. Note that you'll still be able to curl your hair, but it won't last as long (e.g., I normally curl my hair and the curls last for a 2-3 days. With this conditioner, the curls last 1 day and then my hair is straight the next day)

I bought the Bamboo line of shampoo, conditioner and hairspray at my hairstylists recommendation but am not that happy with it. The conditioner seems to work ok I guess, but the bottle is frustrating to me. It has a twist opening and is difficult to squeeze out the product. It also seems that you need to use a lot of it to feel it on your hair. With the cost of this product, and the amount I need to use (I have short hair), and the difficulty of the bottle, I will not be buying this particular conditioner again. But, like I said....my hairstylist loves it.......so maybe it is just me.

I bought this product after my hairstylist raved about the Bamboo line of products. I find it just ok. I would be happier with it if it was easier to get out of the bottle. It has a twist cap and is quite thick so difficult to squeeze out of the bottle and then re close the top with slippery fingers (covered with shampoo). Does not suds easily. I think it costs too much for what you get and does not last long as I keep adding more to get some suds. I am going to try adding water to the bottle to see if that helps.

Mostly hype. Did nothing special for my hair. I live in Florida so it's always a battle with frizz. I don't think there was anything exceptional about this product; however, it wasn't bad. I've used better but it's all in what your willing to spend.

I bought an expensive, synthetic wig & while wearing it the 2nd time, I pulled it up with a hair clip meant to come down after a few minutes. I forgot for hours (I have long hair naturally & clips are every day). I thought the wig would never look natural again, with tons of frizz from top to bottom. This shampoo doesn't smell the best but it works the best! I follow it up soaking in fabric softner for some smell-good & hydration. Try this before throwing your wig in the trash.

This is my first product review. I have wavy - curly frizzy hair. I found that all drug store brands of shampoo and Co left my hair feeling really dry and frizzy and have been on the search for the perfect product since. Now I rotate between several different brands. Recently my hair started feeling dry and frizzy at the ends again. And during one of my internet trawls for new products I came across this brand. I thought I would give it a go, as it says that it is free from lots of the bad stuff such as sulfates and also isn't tested on animals. Anyway, surprisingly it worked quite well on my hair; it didn't dry it out but left it feeling really clean (unlike some other sulfate free shampoos and co ) and It left it shinier and smoother and feeling softer than before. Also it still feels good the next day, not sticky and feeling like it needs a wash like some other shampoos. However, I have used it once so far, so can't tell if this will keep up. And it is a little expensive, but if it works some times it is just worth it.

I really wanted my usual alterna anti-aging caviar brand but it was too pricey so 'settled' for this one. I still had to use my straighteners with the caviar shampoo/conditioner, but not with this gorgeous one. I wash my hair (because of gym) everyday and this shampoo leaves my fine dodgy, drizzle and winter-hating, fly-away hair so shiny, silky and delicious looking. Thrilled and super happy. Great fast service too and yes, I wholly recommend.

Wanted to give it enough time before rating, in case my hair needed adjusting. Unfortunately, this only proved this set does not do it for me. At the moment, my hair is actually more frizzy and with no texture or shine. Never had issues with shine, so this is definitely due to these products. I was also using bio products before, so the problem is not with the built-up chemicals being stripped off. Bottom line is, this shampoo and conditioner duo is not good for my natural-colour, thin hair.

I really like the Caviar range from Alterna but I thought I'd try this one for a change, but it's not quite moisturizing enough for my thick, naturally curly hair. My hair feels nice and clean and more bouncy than usual but the texture isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. But more disappointing is that my bottle arrived with a big crack on the bottom, so I have to have the bottle upside down and dispense the product through the crack. I don't know why Amazon shipped the bottle in a pillow-shaped envelope. Should have been sent in a cardboard tube/cylinder to protect it better.

I am so pleased to track down this conditioner for curly hair, especially because it's sulphate- and paraben-free so it doesn't harm the planet.I like the flat top so you can turn it upsidedown. I like the 'squeeze' action (you don't need to use much so it lasts ages). I don't like the fact that you can't get the last little bit out.
