Fantastic!
With all the crap going on in 2020 I found myself "stocking up". I checked out a couple of videos on prepping and decided to go with mylar. I am bagging everything like the mad hatter, lol. I choose a cheap flat iron from Walmart to seal and it works fine. Gallon bags are about the perfect size. It's not a bad idea to be prepared, mylar is a cheap way to store long term, not just for food but for everything from medical items to books. Anything that will benefit from keeping out air and moisture, mylar bags will do. I know some people see these kinds of activities as extreme, but 2020 convinced me that ANYTHING can happen. It's not only wise, but mandatory to prepare for unknown circumstances in the future and when you look at the effects of what the corona virus has done to the entire world, it's a no brainer. My grandparents were not dependant on anyone. They owned a self-sustaining farm and unless you are in this situation, then you are relying on someone else, daily, for your survival.

Thicker would be better. O2 absorber should be packaged in smaller quantities.
After filling these bags, several of mine got holes in them. The only way I knew they had holes is because the oxygen absorbers made most of them look like vacuum-sealed bags. The ones with holes did not look like they were vacuum sealed. I wish I had bought bags that were resealable -- there are some available that have zip-lock closures in addition to the heat-seal closure. The biggest problem I had with these bags is that all 100 oxygen absorbers are in one package so once you open it you have very little time to use them all before they are no longer usable -- probably less than an hour. After opening, you could quickly stuff most of them into air-tight mason jars, but even then they will not be 100% effective later on. I ended up buying additional oxygen absorbers that can in individual 10-packs.

Nice quality good pricd
Very thick and sturdy bags. A little pricey compared to other brands but totally worth it especially considering these bags come with the oxygen absorbers. The gallon size is the perfect size bag to work with as well from my experience. Even think future use or if you wanted to trade/barter this is a perfect size.

Great bags,but bad absorbers.
I purchased this set in February and just opened today(July 29th.) I like the bags alot, but the absorbers aren't working. Tried them first on Rice, knowing they don't necessarily pack down, but when I moved on to Oatmeal with the same outcome I realized they aren't working well.Would love a replacement pack, but am beyond expectation time.

I’m glad I purchased these, food security!!!
It was my first time sealing up food. I used the Amazon basics vacuum sealer. It took some finessing (you have to insert a few strips of plastic vacuum seal bag to create an air channel). The result is great and I’m glad I purchased these. It feels good to have food stored long term, just in case. I used a hair straightener to finish the sealing on these bags.

So happy with these. Turning 1 year shelf life bags of emergency rice into a decade of peace of mind. Possibly even much longer. Some tips: a hair straightener makes sealing simple. The bags hold approximately 3kg of rice easily. A 4kg bag of rice should last a big family around a week if proper rationing is adhered to. Seal all your bags most of the way before you open your oxygen absorbers. Once they're open they need to be sealed in an airtight container fast because they start absorbing within moments.

It was packed flat in a box so it wasnt creased, the oxygen absorber vaccuum seal bag was still sealed so thats good. Very weighty for 100 bags meaning I guess they didnt skimp on the gauge of the mylar. I dont really have a problem so far, but I havent actually sealed anything yet. At least on delivery it seems paying the extra $$ was worth it, no complaints so far.

The bags are great for long term food storage, and the oxygen absorbers worked great at removing 95% of the air from a sealed bag of flour.

Oxygen absorbers works fine. 7.7 lbs rice easy in 1 bag. Fast delivery and in communication very friendly. Would purchase again with no reservation!
