BACHER Honing Compound with Leather Conditioner 100g green

Good stuff

I have been using this, and Bacher's other honing compoundsfor over 12 months and this grade has been consistently excellent. Provided to me initially as a free-sample it has always produced excellent results. I hone my wood chisels after every use and this compound and its other associated grades have always and consistently produced excellent results. it comes in a handyy 100g tin and includes a small leather pad applicator. Highly recommended product.

Great stuff, does exactly what it says on the tin, my strop will last a life time lol

Tried this after using the hard green stuff. This is like magic. Lovely big tin, piece of leather inside to use to apply the paste . Immediately I knew it was good as it was so smooth and easy to apply. I stropped the living daylights out of my knives (after using my sharpening stones) and I achieved razor sharp blades! All I can is buy it. My next purchase is smurf poo! If you know, you know 🙂

This is very much an opinion , but the Barcher very fine and black ultra fine compound isn't needed . The red medium is best and white fine at a push is all you need . There is no industry standard for grading pastes to grit so these colours are in a unique order to Barcher. There Leather strop comes with sample pots of all four pastes for you to make up your own mind .

Muy contento con el producto. Lo adquirí para aplicar en un asentador de cuero tipo ballesta y dar más filo a una navaja barbera Solingen adquirida recientemente. Si bien ésta traía filo de fabrica, me resultaba insuficiente para agarrar bien el pelo y lograr un adecuado rasurado. La pasta a priori puede dar la sensación de ser demasiado sólida. Pero en el fondo tiene una consistencia cérea, resultando fácil de aplicar sobre otras superficies con la torunda de cuero que incluye. Básicamente froté parte de la misma sobre la pasta y tras eso, la empleé para extender ésta sobre el asentador. Tras realizar varios pases con la hoja de la navaja y posteriormente en la otra cara del asentador (sin la pasta) para suavizar, os puedo decir que noté la diferencia en el siguiente afeitado.

Facile à appliquer sur le cuir, bon polissage. La boite est suffisant pour charger le strop plusieurs fois.

Gut und preiswert. Die Paste ist wegen der recht weichen Konsistenz sehr leicht anzubringen und schärft hervorragend. Ein vorheriges Erwärmen ist üblicherweise nicht nötig, hilft aber natürlich. Bei der Packungsgröße hat man wirklich lange was davon, da die Schleifschicht nach dem Aufbringen nicht mehr als alle paar dutzend Nutzungen erneuert werden muss. Einziges Manko ist, dass sie Paste eine Weile braucht, bis sie gut eingetrocknet und ohne Verschmieren benutzbar ist. Ich persönlich empfehle die Aufbewahrung in einem Vakuumbeutel, da trocknet dann auch nichts ein.
