This game will test your skills at planning and improvisation. With the world unknown before you, your plan may shift when that port you wanted to use to expand by sea fails to materialize. Battles in the advanced version become more combined arms contests. There is no one way to play, win, and enjoy this game. My only down point is the game is slow to develop. Then I'm reminded, Rome wasn't build in a day - - it was built at night. Enjoy the journey!

TI4 is my favorite game ever. However, this game fills that niche in a more time sensitive manner. That is, unless you play with people who spend a LOT of time thinking. Analysis paralysis will kill a game.

Love it but, it takes time to get to get your engine up and running. Long game and some people may not like long games. But there is a variant play that will shorten the game and get you up and running faster. My preference is always playing games the way the developers meant it to played. You can win in a variety of ways even if you're not aggressive like my wife.

I love sid meir's civilization. Having a board game that exactly plays like the video game is amazing. Clash of Cultures is the most popular game amongst the family. Everyone loves it!

As a fan of civ games, this game its perfect. It heavy tho.

Product is good but recive little damage from bad packaging

Other than the box it came with, there wasn't any foam or air bag added in the packaging. This resulted in a few corners of the game's cardboard box having visible dents. Contents were ok though.

I got this box in a great sale, but still at full price is a very good game, takes several hours to play, but each run can be very different.

This is by far the best civ 4x game out there

A great 4X civilisation game with straightforward rules but impressive tactical and strategic depth. Great minis and production in general. Only negative is the price (probably can’t be avoided due to the sheer number of minis).
