Living Intentions Sprouted Transitional Almonds, Nongmo, Gluten Free, Vegan, Paleo, Kosher,16 Oz

I’m used to eating raw almonds, that though good, can sometimes be a little tough to chew, as in hard. These almonds are in an entirely different dimension. If you love nuts that are light, flavorful, and sweet, not to mention super fresh, amazingly crunchy, and healthy due to the sprouting/activation process, then you’ll love these almonds. They are easily the BEST I’ve ever eaten. Only issue is how to keep myself from eating more than I should. Already ordered another bag. :)

Amazon is selling (or soon will be) a version of this under the Wickedly Prime brand. I got a sample for review under the Vine program and these Living Intentions branded ones are just as addictive - not sure I could tell the difference between the two, actually. I'm still not entirely clear on what "sprouted" means but these are so different from (and better than) everyday toasted almonds that they will amaze you. Very tough to close the bag and set it aside! Edited 5/30/18 - Amazon is now offering Wickedly Prime brand Unsalted Sprouted Almonds which I found to be at least as tasty and crispy as these. The Wickedly Prime branded version has a big advantage in that the packaging just describes the product. Living Intentions lathers on cringe-worthy, content-free hyperbole to describe its "Activated" product, proclaiming that "Activated is an outlook, a way of being, and a mantra for intentionally shifting life into higher gear." Really, it says that right on the bag. Imagine how many people read that crap and not only didn't LOL or barf, they approved it! Er, no. These are almonds, not lifestyle choices. This sounds like the take-away notes from an HR committee where the participants tried to outdo each other with the most pap compressed into the fewest words. Or where the CEO's pet was put into a management slot instead of being assigned to production or loading trucks. Anyway the nuts are good, but I'll take the Wickedly Prime version. They are delicious!

After trying these sprouted almonds, I haven’t stopped buying them. There’s a clean taste to them with a nice crunch. Better than regular raw almonds.

They are fresh and delicious. Will definitely be buying again.

I am surprised at the great taste of these Almonds. They are crunchy, sweet and not bitter. They are more expensive. I think they are worth the price for Sprouted Almonds. I keep buying them.

I have been eating every manner of seeds and nuts for decades . And these almonds are hands down the crunchiest and most fresh tasting almonds I have ever eaten . If you’re on the fence about these - buy them .

EDIT: I'm updating my review from 2 to 4 stars. After originally getting a bag of almonds beginning to go rancid I went through the Amazon return policy and they shipped out a new bag, which incidentally had a different expiration date. The new bag tastes much better and more like good almonds. I don't think the flavor is any better than regular toasted almonds, but they are good, and hopefully the sprouting makes them more nutritious. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is my first time trying "sprouted" almonds. I don't know if these things are starting to go rancid (it doesn't have an obvious rancid taste), but they are definitely not sweet tasting (like the description claims) and they leave a mildly unappealing aftertaste in your mouth. Nothing near the good and sweet(ish) flavors of regular raw and toasted almonds. The expiration claims to be 10 months in the future (8/15/2020).

I have been purchasing these almonds for years. They were always tasty and great for baking and making almond butter. The last couple orders I have received, however (5 bags total!), have been completely spoiled. I opened the bags (which seemed inflated from bacterial respiration) and they wreaked of stale mustiness. Many almonds are discolored in various ways, and the flavor was not at all fresh like before. I will not be able to eat them and unfortunately cannot request a refund... Therefore, I will not again purchase this product.
