We have tried about 5 or 6 other manufacturers. This one is the best. You can't spread too much. They can't lick it outside the unit. Very popular part of the day's routine!

My dog was not particularly enthusiastic about this treat licking mat. He could not be bothered giving it a good licking. I would say that some dogs might prefer the IQ puzzle games instead; mine does.

Zero suction for staying in place. It’s flat with a bump in the center where a suction cup might go but isn’t there, otherwise smooth on the bottom. Moves all over the place. Would not recommend on that part alone. (I could use a paper plate and get the same effect.).

Cassie recognizes when I get the mat out she will be getting a treat and gets quite excited. I spread canned pumpkin or other food favorites to keep her occupied for a while to relieve boredom. Very happy with the purchase and will be buying one with suction to use to distract her when giving her a bath, which she hates. I recommend the mat and the seller.

I had ordered one of these from another seller and loved it so I ordered this one because it had a different design on the front. When it arrived, we found that it is just a silicone mat with texture on one side. No suction cups on the back to hold it!! The smaller dog can still use it but the big one just pushes it around and gets frustrated or smears peanut butter across my floor.

My rescue dog always wants to eat, probably from nearly starving. But I don't want to add a lot of weight to her. This "plate" is great. Sometimes I put a small amount of peanut butter on it, sometimes pumpkin puree. I'd say it takes her about 10-15 minutes to lick every bit out! She gets excited when I pick it up and head for the kitchen.

While it should go without saying, you MUST watch your dog while using this or you will end up with a dog eating part of it (because it is not meant to be chewed, it chews up super easily). Save yourself the pain and do not plan to buy this if you do not plan to monitor your pet carefully while using this.It's also a lil hard to clean off, which I guess is a part of the point of the mat, but if your dog doesn't so a thorough job of cleaning it, you are going to spend a bit of time cleaning it yourself.
