Frenzied suspense
'You shoot at someone who has a gun, you've got to expect that they're going to shoot back.'Another great book in McCoy's Mission: Rescue series. Harper Shelby has chosen a reclusive life in the middle of nowhere after her sister is killed and her niece has gone missing. She enjoys her life as an artist, creating beautiful pottery. One day a handsome stranger pulls up in her yard and tells her he's been sent to find her. Logan Fitzgerald is a member of HEART, the rescue and extraction team , and he's been hired by Harper's ex brother in law. Harper doesn't want to be found, but she has had a target printed on her back by someone and Logan has to discover who that is.Taut, fast paced and totally engrossing suspense!

An awesome read
I loved every line in this book. The storyline kept me so interested I didn't want to sleep or eat until it was read. The characters were each written about just enough to get to know them just enough to make their part known. Well done.

My goodness!!!!
These stories just keep getting better and better!! This was a really good one, because I love the idea of family and I have never really had a happy family. I grew up in a dysfunctional family, and then I didn't have a happy marriage because I married a non- christian; now I'm separated but I have three wonderful children and ten beautiful grandchildren, and I love them all so much. God has really been so good to me and I am so grateful for all he's given me. Things aren't perfect, but they won't be in this world. But God is good!!!

the poor choice of a boyfriend
Harper Riley lives under a cloud of doubt, guilt, and recrimination regarding the death of her sister, the poor choice of a boyfriend, and the disappearance of her niece. Her sanctuary is disturbed by Logan Fitzgerald, a PI, who doesn't know he's being followed and leads a team of killers to Harper's doorstep. In the midst of internal mind discussions about not being good enough, it comes to light that Harper's niece may be alive. As soon as the reader is introduced to one of the story's character, you know who the killer is--just not the relationship between the killer and the ex-brother-in-law. This is a faith-based novel and the author gives her characters chances to rely on and seek godly wisdom. Sit in an easy chair, grab your favorite drink, kickback, and read.

Wonderful!
I liked this book a lot. It was suspenseful and romantic. I never expected the perpetrator. I LIKED this book because as I read it I found my opinion of the characters change. I think this is a reflection of what a good writer McCoy is. Her characters are more complex than they initially appear. However, in an effort to be completely honest sometimes I did become inpatient with the. seemingly endless description of Harley's thoughts. Would highly recommend for anyone who appreciates romantic suspense.

Another great read
This story was a bit predictable but that may be because I have read so many of Shirlee's books, but it was still a wonderful book! I would have read it in one day if I had just had the time! I would definitely recommend this book!
