This was a gift and was told it’s perfect and accurate.

The R7 is the standard for radar detectors on the market and was a perfect addition to my Model 3 Performance. Easy to install and I added a wiring harness to hide the cables inside the panels to install to a 12v switch wire. The suction cup mount works great and has one of the strongest holds I have ever found from a suction cup. Using the suction cup mount allowed me to test multiple mounting locations with little effort. I love that it shows my speed and the direction the radar is detected in.

What a great radar detector. It’s a bit expensive but well worth the money. One speeding ticket cost me what I paid for this radar detector. The range on his radar detector is amazing. It detect radar for up 1/2 mile. I’m not a fast driver, but I like knowing what’s out there and who’s monitoring me?. This radar detector picks up everything.

Came with the most up-to-date firmware and with the hardwire kit, now it's just another feature of my vehicle; top-quality radar with sleek mounting that operates with the vehicle's switched power.I never have to touch it other than the occasional mute button included with the Uniden hardwire kit. Customizable to the point that the only time we see or hear anything from the unit is when you really need it (other than the nightrider style scanner during the daytime and a teenytiny moving dot in the evening).All the included mounting and suction hardware are excellent. Love the unit! Now there are 5 of my buddies in the Uniden family; what are you waiting for?

I purchased the R7 well over a month ago now, and I can confidently say that this thing is quite the marvel. The Auto GPS lockouts are extremely convenient, and quiet down the detector substantially. The Menu(s) and UI are both very user-friendly, and the sheer amount of customization features from band strengths, Quiet Ride, and even color alterations, this detector has it all.My only gripe is that I wish it were Bluetooth compatible to make the user experience that much more seamless by updating/changing settings directly from your mobile device. However, rather range is phenomenal and no detector on the market currently, outside of the R8, could compete with it when it comes to both range and an extremely short time-to-alert.

This is the best modern radar detector. You will need to customize program to get the maximum performance. It comes with two excellent mounts one permanent, one temporary, lighter adapter, case. I also bought the hardwire kit that provides a better electrical option, and remote mute capability. I will buy another for my wife’s car, as this has saved me several times.

AmazingWhen I hit the road for a weekly 700mi commute I pulled an old escort 7500 out of the closet. After 11k miles and 2 tickets I got this.Waze is a must when traveling and will work for most ppl most of the time. In unpopulated areas this is your only savior.If you use old detectors you've noticed every new car now has radar for blind spots and everything else and you get numb to anything but the rare KA band (some cars now have KA as well)The gps auto mute is amazing, after a few passes through your common areas you're no longer getting false alerts. Now that valentines patent is expired the direction arrows are a must for any.The quite ride GPS speed mute is my favorite feature, below 45 it's quite, this is adjustable. I'd rather get more notifications so I haven't used the other advanced filters for specific bands.On flat land this thing goes off on KA when they're out of sight. I'd say it's close to the 2mi advertised on open land. I will get a KA hit that will sometimes go off and back on at range and wait over a min at 80mph before I see the reason, sometimes driving in the opposite direction at the same speed...If you're a techy you can spend days learning more features and setting it up to your liking. If you're not it still works. Check out Vortex Radar for help on setup and features.Only feature missing that is an option on 1 of its competitors is the speed limit notification on screen (360max). It will tell you speed but not what the posted limit is.Now that the r8 is out the price has come down for the r7 with little diffrence in product.There's only 3 comparable detectors and you found my favorite.Get this AND use Waze. Drive safe.

Very nice radar detector! It faces you nicely and is easy to read. Does its job quite well!
