Our American Field Labradors Love It!
We have two American Field Labradors, one with food sensitivities to wheat and chicken, so Wellness CORE Wholesome Grains Ocean and its somewhat limited ingredients works great for us. They’re energetic and very happy eaters. Whitefish is a lean protein, and the grains support cardiac health. We’ve had no issues maintaining a healthy weight or appetite going on two years now. Highly recommend. I give each pup 2 cups twice daily, along with a half cup of frozen broccoli crowns and wild blueberries and I stir in about a cup of warm water. I find the warm water helps activate flavors in the kibble and creates a gravy my dogs love, and it also improves digestion. I can’t beat the Amazon subscriber price locally or with one of the box stores in town.

My dogs love this food
One of the best food I ever got for my pups. Healthy ingredients. Kibble is small size. Price is not bad for the quality..

Dogs love it.
Great product. Only downside is that it leaves you dog's breath with a strong fishy smell. I've been using this product for more than 6 years now and no issues. I would recommend integrating supplemental or wet food topper, to offset the dry kibble.

Highly recommend
I recently switched my dog to the Wellness CORE Wholesome Grains Ocean Recipe, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality and impact it has had on my pet's health. The 4-pound bag is packed with nutrient-rich ingredients, focusing on fish proteins that my dog finds irresistible. I've noticed a significant improvement in his energy levels and coat health. What's more, the inclusion of wholesome grains seems to agree with his digestion better than other brands we've tried. This product strikes the perfect balance between nutritious and delicious, making mealtime something we both look forward to.

Tasted and approved
By the dogs, that is. I have one who is a very picky eater and another with a sensitive stomach. Between the two of them, it's hard to find something that they both can eat. This was actually recommended by our vet and it has been amazing. Both pups look forward to mealtime, they have regular, "healthy" poo, and their coat is softer, as well. The best part is that the ingredients are good for my pups and the kibble is naturally preserved.

Great Food! Unfortunately, Subscribe & Save scam
Signed up for Subscribe & Save for two 4lb bags of Core Ocean High Protein with Whole Grains per month on 12/8/22 after buying one bag for $12.00 and being promised a slight discount on that price by subscribing. The price per bag was a few dollars cheaper than buying this food locally so it seemed worth it for the convenience. By the time my first subscription order shipped, the price had gone up slightly. That seemed okay since it was inline with marginal market increases for the product. However, when I logged in to check on the status of my second order today (1/22/22), it had shipped BUT the price is now $18.95 per bag. That's a 58% increase in just 6 weeks! I'm sorry to say that this strikes me as a bait and switch scam. I canceled my subscription and will buy locally only until I can find another brand that works for my pet. I'm prepared to pay for a premium dog food. I mix this high protein food with another premium food for skin sensitivities to maintain my dog's weight while also managing her allergies. Interestingly, the price of other food hasn't increased in price at all!

Dog likes it and vets are now pushing the need for grains
My dog used to be on the wellness core ocean that did not have any grains. For the last couple of years I've noticed my vet seems to be pushing that dog foods need to have grains now. Don't know why there was a trend to not have grains and then suddenly there's a trend where they found it can cause heart issues. Thought I would give this one a try since it's essentially the same protein source as the original wellness core ocean.I noticed the kibble on this one is a little bit larger than on the wellness core ocean, but I have a larger dog so it's not really an issue for me. Smaller dogs might find a little more difficult to choose. If I had to guess I'd say the kibble is about 20% larger.
