Here is a list of pro and cons of this book: PROS: -Each picture has descriptions listed in paragraph form making it easy to identify each labeled object. -The book is a loose leaf so you are able to take out the photos and photocopy them onto note cards for more accessible studying. -The loose lease also allows only parts of the book to be taken to class so that you don't have to carry the whole book each time you go to lab. -For many of the labeled objects in the pictures, a function is given so that further research isn't often needed. CONS: -The description for the pictures are in paragraph form so it's a little harder to pick out each thing identified in the pictures. I would have preferred if the would outlined in bullet points so that its faster and easier to distinguish between them. Review: The pictures were great, and I loved how they would show multiple ... - This histology atlas was essential for me passing anatomy lab. The pictures were great, and I loved how they would show multiple pictures of certain slides. Some slides looked completely different based on the magnification. I never missed histology questions on my lab exams. I also loved how it had introductions to each system describing structure and function, as well as explanations under the pictures of the slides as well. A lot of times it was easier for me to find structure and function in my atlas than in my textbook. I had friends taking anatomy at other schools, and I would often send them pictures of my atlas to help them out. Definitely a great investment, and it helped me get that A.

The thing that I really like about this particular atlas is the thick somewhat slick paper binder-less presentation!
I love the way the slides are presented in this atlas, its an excellent micro slide representation that also has a nice concise explanation of each. The thing that I really like about this particular atlas is the thick somewhat slick paper binder-less presentation. It allows me to put it into a loose leaf binder, which then allows me to open it up fully so that I don't have to fight a book binding while highlighting etc. Its great for laying out on the lab decks for better viewing!

Great Histology Book!
This book is well written! I have used this book for over a year in my anatomy and physiology classes and I could not be more pleased. The pictures are clear and vivid and they add in different versions of epithelium views for organs that have similar features. The only downside is that it is loose leaf (sucks for disorganized people...), but this was an advantage to me because the book is about 200 pages and sometimes you only need 3 of those pages for class. Overall I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quality histology book for human biology classes!

Exactly what I needed
The text was exactly what i needed for class. The only complaint I have is that how am I supposed to know that this wasnt a bound book. What I mean is I expected on getting this book and being able to throw it in my back pack for school but when I go it, it was loose leaf. I had to put it in a 3 ring binder, each page was seperate. Not too big of a deal. It served its purpose but if I had known thats how it wouldve come, i would not have got it.

Must have if you're studying Histology!
The pictures are beautiful. Very detailed. This book is a must have for anyone studying histology. I used this book to help me with Anatomy and Physiology Lab. The pictures were identical to the slides my professor used. It's been a huge help. Well worth the extra money even if it's not required!!

Sometimes in class, I try to take photos of the specimens in the microscopes, and sometimes what I see in class may look a little different than what is on the exam. This is a great book to see a comparison so I can get a general idea of what something should look like. This helped a lot for Anatomy & Physiology.
