Wow! Great!
I'm considered an Expert in Excel but this taught me a lot!

Why repeat 50 times with pictures where to find macros?
So, this intro was good, but why the same method of running the macros, why not add in activex boxes I mean why not show us an entire worksheet of macros, where when I push a button, copy entire macro with button to a new working workbook xlsx or xls 😍. Now that would be handy. Or/and show us how to run goal seek on entire table of data and formulas, and multivariate goalseek- Something more useful than a function that already exists in the various pages of tools, home, formatting, data, etc. This book could have been boiled down into less than 200 pages, or better yet could have had another 300 useful macros.

Highly Useful
101 Ready To Use Excel Macros will be highly useful for beginners and veterans of Excel macros and/or VBA programming. John & Bryan’s book is divided into convenient topics such as Charts, Printing, Highlighting, Pivot Tables, Forumulas, Worksheets and of course Worksheets. Each of these topical sections contains several useful macros. While the individual macros are useful and ready-to-use, the bigger benefit is that you will learn how to record, write, and edit your own macros by studying these sample. In addition to providing the actual VBA code that you can simply cut and paste into your own modules, John & Bryan provide the reasons why you would want to use each macro with multiple screen shots clearly showing the steps you need to implement to make the macro work for you. Plus, each macro also has two included Excel workbooks. One workbook contains no code so you can try to either do it yourself from scratch (or simply retype their sample, well-explained VBA macro). The other workbook contains the finished product with their VBA code included so you can see what a refined finished product looks like. Well done!

101 macros... but only 8 were useful for me
I was very excited to receive this book. The reviews seemed positive, and the book provides what the title says, "ready to use excel macros", but the application and use may not be what most people need.A lot of the macros in this book can be easily done without a macro by using accelerator keys (keyboard shortcuts in excel) instead. For example; you can create a macro to autofit columns, add the macro to your ribbon or leave it in the Developer > Code > Macros menu, move your mouse cursor to the top of excel, click a few times to get to the macro, click the button and then the columns will autofit. Or, you can use accelerator and press ALT, H, O, I in that order to autofit the selected columns. That's only one example, but many more macros in the book can be done via accelerator keys.I would have liked to see more about saving workbooks or selections as PDFs, but perhaps that was too intermediate / advance a topic for this book. Even information about recording macros would have been nice. Or, information on how to read the code (yes, there was a table with some common keywords, but that doesn't help you really read the code). That said, I suppose none of that was the purpose of the book.Yes, it provides 101 macros. No, you will not use all of them. Yes, there are easier ways to achieve the same results.A lot of this information could be easily found online too, so I don't feel there was enough value-added content in this book.

So helpful. Definitely get this book if you use Excel.
The author has done a great job covering, what can be, a very complex topic. He has made writing macros easy for the not-so-technical person. This is a great book for anyone wanting to replace their repetitious Excel tasks with the click of a button. He has taken the intimidation out of writing code and made it accessible for the average Excel user, allowing more people to see how writing VBA code is FUN! His examples are practical and useful for all sorts of applications. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to have more time!

Great step by step reference resource
I love the size of the book: 81/2" by 11" and lots of white space on the pages for notes! I'm new to writing macros and VBA code in Excel, so this book is awesome. I'm also in the MyExcelOnline.com academy and this is great supplemental material for the Academy. Congrats to Mr. Michaloudis and Mr. Hong for publishing a very usable, easy to understand reference book for my Excel library.

Nice but not much actual content. Keep looking.
I was very excited to get a hold of this book, I’m trying to be more efficient with Excel and has high hopes for this book. Unfortunately it looks like the author is better at marketing than content creation. Themacros in the book actually work but very few of them could I ever see ever being useful. Most of them are thighs done in vba that can be done through other Excel tools or formulas. Each macro listed starts with a question, “What does it do?” Answer: highlight all of the errors, then has the actual vba, then a screen shot of the results. Sounds pretty good so far, however this is where it starts to show signs that this book is poorly written. Instead of a detailed explanation of what or how the vba works, there are 2 pages of large screen shots detailing the same pasting of the vba, see my images. Essentially this book is elongated because of the extra repeated screen shots. Literally every macro begins with step 1 is the exact same screenshot and many times step 2 is also the same screenshot. This was either done intentionally to extend the length of the book or by an author that has no faith in the reader’s ability to follow steps which repeat in literally every macro in the book. These pictures are 4 macros I flipped to randomly, I don’t cherry pick these photos. There macros themselves seem pretty basic I would say there are better macro books out there.I wouldn’t recommend this book. I am very disappointed.

Not as advertised
This is my second purchase from the MyExcelonline books. I am rather disappointed in the false advertising by Amazon stating that you get a PDF version of the book You DO NOT get a version of this book in PDF with this purchase. You do get what is already a free ebook from the website. The book is good for beginners. But as has been mentioned in other reviews on here. You can get a deeper insight of VBA on YouTube for free and with a deeper explanation of what the code is doing instead of a copy and paste. The authors who have taken considerable time to put this book together I give 4 stars. The contents on the other hand I only give 3 stars as there is no context to the book other than screen shots. Sorry Mr Hong and Mr Michaloudis. I will be going with Bill Jelen in the future for my go to reference books.
