Hanes Men's 5170

These shirts epitomize the "Ok, I guess" quality of Hanes we are all probably familiar with by now.First of all the shirts were not tagless, so that's some false advertising. The tags were, however, very easily torn off.They are not soft at all. Not necessarily scratchy or anything, but also not soft. They're also really rigid, even after washing. It's like wearing the fuzzy interior layer of cardboard.The fit around the neck and shoulders is.. weird. That strong slant/A-shape you see in the picture is not an exaggeration, and it makes it feel like the collar is constantly trying to find its way up your neck.Finally - and this is probably more of a quality control than design issue - the sleeves are sewn on a bit crooked, rotating towards the back just enough that it feels like your are perpetually pulling forward on them (because you are). That plus the weird shoulder/collar issue makes this a shirt you'll be unconsciously in a tug-o-war with all day. It wasn't enough to bother me, but it definitely made for an entertaining first day of wear.Otherwise, the shirt is designed alright. The hem and sleeves are not too short like certain other brands *cough*Gildan*cough*, though the sleeves are a bit narrow and would make for a snug fit on the more muscularly-inclined. I can describe the body as being more "fitted", that is, it's not slim enough to be called "slim fit" but it's also definitely not loose.

The shirts are OK but they advertised p/n 5170 invoice says 5250 and shirt says 15763. I am just hoping they will hold up over time!

It is more blue than teal.

Amazon recommended 3xl tall for me so I went with thst. When I put it on its kinda small so once it gets washed it's gonna be way to small. I like the color and quality but I Def need a 4xl big n tall

I bought a pink and blue one in 5 x. Haven't tried the blue on. I washed both before wearing, so that may have shrunken them a bit although I used cold water. Anyway, the pink one fits like. 3 x. This is ok because that's still very comfortable for me but if you like your tees very loose like I do, go 2 sizes bigger. It is long enough on 5' 6" me to reach half way to my knees, which is what I expected. Also, it's quite heavy cotton which may become less heavy after several washings. Gave 4 stars because of the sizing.Edit:. Stone washed blue also runs smaller; 5x is really like 3x. Order 2 sizes bigger if you like really loose.

Very good quality material! I'm so happy with the sizing! It's impossible to find larger sizing for larger men. I ran all over town! I should have looked on Amazon first!
