Blue Sun Replica T-Shirt Firefly Serenity Jane Cobb

There are many versions of this shirt out there but most of them are not accurate to what Jayne Cobb actually wore on Firefly. Throughout the show there were some discrepancies with the Blue Sun logo and while the inaccurate shirts do have an accurate representation of how the logo was depicted elsewhere in the show this one is accurate with respect to the shirt. The difference is the Chinese lettering at the bottom. The first character of the shirt is a more general character for Blue that includes all shades of blue. The inaccurate shirts use a different character more specific to a particular shade of the color blue. The research was interesting and really made me wonder if there was something intentional there or if it was merely a blooper. Regardless if you are looking for a high quality shirt that accurately duplicates what was worn on the show then this one is a no brainer.

This shirt seems to be made of good quality. It's 100% cotton and is pretty stiff out of the bag. Hopefully it will soften after a few washes. The smallest shirt available was a Large so that's what I ordered. You never know with t-shirts. Sometimes, even large shirts are too small on me. This shirt is REALLY big on me though. I'm 5'8" 145lbs and this comes down to my thighs. I feel like a good 4-5" inches could also be take off of the width of the shirt for it to fit well. Being a cotton shirt, it could shrink in the wash. I really hope it does because I really like the shirt otherwise. --UPDATE After several washes (5 or 6), this shirt has shrunk what I would consider a full size. It now fits how I would have expected it to fit in the first place. I can finally wear this shirt without feeling like I'm wearing a sleeping bag!

I am wearing this shirt as I write this review. Perhaps 1 out of 1000 people on the street will recognize this, but since I work with a bunch of programmers, the ratio has gone up drastically, perhaps even 1 out of 2. This is great shirt that seems to fit as expected. It does NOT come pre-sleeveless or pre-denecked, but if you want to perform these operations, I am sure you will find you have a near-exact duplicate of the Jayne shirt.

I like this shirt a lot. The chest area fits well, but the sleeves aren't snug, which normally this size I get a more snug sleeve. Of course Jayne just ripped out the sleeves. Neck is looser than I usually like, but it's not bad. The Logo is the thing, it's perfect.

I was hoping for a smaller shirt.. according to the site I needed to order a size larger then I wear... it way to big, I don't want to deal with shipping costs so I'll just keep it and maybe tuck them in. It's for a cosplay. Besides that, the material is super great, and strong. Legitimate Blue Sun shirt

GOOD: Fit as expected. Colors look good upon arrival and printed graphic is centered. BAD: Arrived *intentionally damaged*. The seam on the back of the neck has been CUT to remove a tag. I assume the company didn't want me to know what brand of blank shirt they used. Since the thread was cut, I expect the entire seam will unravel with just one or two washes. I really want to like this shirt, but I can't keep it as is. I will be returning it, and haven't decided if I will try ordering a replacement. If I do, I'll update this review.

Nice heavy cotton, high quality imprint, and hardly shrunk at all when I washed it in hot water. This shirt should have been sleeveless--but I was able to remedy that issue quite easily. I would really like to have one of these in medium, naturally sleeveless, at some point--but until I get lucky, this is a more than adequate. This shirt also has no Firefly or promotional logos on the outside, only the perfect Blue Sun logo. SHINY! Just the shirt for thrilling heroics, and I shall no longer fear the reaver.

Cheaply made, but that was expected. Runs large. I revived a darker colored shirt than what I ordered and couldn't see the blue logo-- which was smeared and distorted. Contacted customer service and revived a response right away.
