No OS Support
I bought this refurbished chromebook for a single purpose -- to use as an ebook reader. It is wonderful for that purpose, and perfectly adequate for checking emails and basic web surfing. The price was definitely right, and the item I got was, in fact, in excellent condition. The one word of warning is that Google no longer supports this model; it updated the system at the initial start-up, and then issued a notice that no further updates would be made and should buy a newer model if I wanted the latest updates.

Laptop is managed by a 3rd party
When I booted up this machine it says "Managed by fcps.org" but I don't see a way to undo that, or how to contact amazon for support on removing this laptop from the management.

Fear not! Battery life seems very good!
First Chromebook, and so far i like it a lot. Generally nervous about buying items used when rechargeable batteries are involved, but so far the charge is holding up great.I bought this to write on while on the couch. Love the compactness!
