And yes if you try to open them like you do the heavier shorter bobby pins. They will twist.To open them so that they don’t twist hold them a little closer to the opening end, and use your other hand to separate the long side from the short side. As it begins to open the fingers that are grasping it will keep it open without twisting until you get it in place to push it in for health reasons I must wear a wig and these longer , gray pins are perfect. Take your time and re-teach yourself how to master these Bobby pins. They are well worth the effort.

As my title indicates they are a-nice color for blonde hair.But what I don’t like is the thickness of the plastic on the ends and the way the top end sticks up too high. These two things make them difficult to open and apply.
