EN 112 required class text
This book is my English Text Book for my Ethnography course this semester. I am a novice and therefore don't have enough ready experience to evaluate this work. That said, my professor is a professional ethnographer and this body of work is her personal choice for us. Therefore, I trust that it is more than adequate and am following along eagerly on the guided tour provided throughout the text for great insights that will help me produce a quality piece of work to turn in at the end of the spring 2013 semester. I suppose that books like this one are timeless, because ethnography is what it is, and time is not going to change it very much. So, I must admit that I appreciate the glimpses given and expounded upon of the scenarios that the three authors have presented here, and their own estimations on ethnography in general. I might add that I had never heard of ethnography prior to this class (me seeing the topic as mini documentaries into various subject matter). I am enjoying what I have gleaned from it so far, and can only hope that I will have enough information to process my own study when the time comes.
