DEWALT 12V/20V MAX Portable Bluetooth Radio, Cordless, 100 ft Range, 3.5” Subwoofers, Jobsite (DCR028B)

Best radio I've owned so far, I use it a lot at home as well as while working. With a regular size DeWalt battery I got 21 1/2 hours runtime using radio and Bluetooth about 70/30. The sound quality is I would rate very good not excellent , the volume is sufficient, and the build quality seems to be excellent. The fact these are so solid and run a long time on a standard rechargeable DeWalt battery makes me wish I had gotten one sooner. Is there anything to not like about this AM FM/Bluetooth radio? Not in my opinion. It's a good size, well balanced, good sounding, well constructed piece of equipment, just make sure you have batteries and a charger because those are sold separately.

I had a different version and it was stolen. Decided to upgrade so I can have radio function! This speaker is loud, sounds great, picks up stations good, connects great! That 100’ connection with blue tooth is no joke! Loud enough to annoy the neighbors! Sturdy!

I use this radio daily! Easy to use, great size, good sound and runs for 4-5 days on 5-AH battery. Just wish it would charge a battery as well.

I'm a contractor who owns more DeWalt cordless tools than I can count so batteries for this aren't an issue. That said, I did not purchase this to use as a job site radio. For that my preference is a phone holster on my tool belt suspenders to play or stream content quietly enough that I can hear but it doesn't bother others. So this purchase was to simplify my current campfire sound system which is corded, heavy, and bulky, as we use it both at our front yard fire pit and at wilderness campsites. The system I refer to is a Bose Acoustic Wave mounted atop a Yamaha subwoofer, which sets a very high bar when it comes to sound quality, clarity and volume. With this DeWalt box costing roughly 10% of what that system does I believe it would be unfair to compare the two, but that's what I was accustomed to before purchasing this. I am impressed. Other's complaints about it not having a charge feature or remote control or other bells and whistles don't enter into it for me. This satisfies my priorities for portability, quick and easy BT pairing with an amazing range, an Aux input for patching in a TV and it has clear, crisp audio. It's also built like a tank so it'll take some abuse. For my purposes the radio will rarely be used. Streaming content through my phone (SeriusXM) or playing the thousands of song files on its storage card is what I'm using it for. While I'm accustomed to more volume and depth of sound this unit's output is clean, crisp, clear and satisfying. And for those who haven't figured it out, to control the volume with your phone, once paired turn the radio's volume up to max then use your phone's volume control to adjust it up or down. There's your remote. Once set up this way, if you have a smart watch you can even use that as a remote for play, pause, forward, back and volume. This unit will go a long way toward minimizing and simplifying our entertainment setup whether in the front yard or out in the sticks. Good job DeWalt!

Sounds really good, very good bass even with a limited equalizer. The only thing I don't like about it is there is nowhere to store the cord onboard. I don't plan to use the cord much, so I know it's going to get lost. I might just velcro it to the handle or something. Works all day on a battery, 20v or 12v.

Great radio for any age. Clear stereo sound am and fm. Being cordless makes it easy to move around from room to room and to the exteriors. Well built.

I like it. Sure it's missing a few bells and whistles like my $500 Bosch 360 had. But that radio started having issues shortly after warranty, and ended up throwing it in the garbage. Anyways this Dewalt is in the garage and it's on everyday all day and been on probably 7 months now. I have my little MP3 player hooked via the aux input and on the USB charger and it plays all day till the MP3 gets to the end of it's song base sometime in the night. Morning I just push play and away it goes again. We have crappy radio reception and worse stations to listen to regarding music so MP3 it is. Good radio, good sound, and it's a well made radio...works for me "really well".

Works great. Easy to use. Sound quality is good for a portable radio. Tough and well built. Would earn my 5 stars if an internal charger was added.
